I thought this was going to be mostly an upslope event but doesn’t seem like it at all. I’m confused lol. Haven’t gone out but looks like about 6” already

Just over 3” of paste so far here. Should be great skiing tomorrow with the upslope on top of it.

Haha yes that’s a great analogy. Lights are flickering though eek. Out of curiosity, how are things around Stowe? Which areas have accumulation?

Came home to about 2.5” of birch bending paste. Awesome. Still rain down in Conway, starts turning around Hart’s location but no real accumulation till you get above 1200 ft or so

Came down to Conway for some shopping. The snow line is right around 1400ft. Wet accumulating snow at the house, cakes trees another 100 ft or so higher, and turning to rain quickly as you start heading down the notch

Looks like we avoid any rain. Snowing moderately and sticking albeit a bit wet (thermo says 34/32)

I'll take all the fake snow I can get. If it looks like snow and feels like snow, it's fine by me. Heck I'd have region wide snowmaking if we could lol

I was in Conway earlier - usual upslope set up with clear sky there, flurries picking up half way through the notch and then light snow in Bretton Woods. Just a coating of accumulation though

Bretton Woods listened to PF and opens Friday

a nice wintry appeal with few but sizeable flakes falling. A dusting overnight

It’s snowing pretty well now. I don’t think it’s supposed to last long but maybe ski areas can squeeze out an inch or two. Everything helps.

I can envision a fun meeting between Mt Ops and Marketing screaming at each other - open the f-ing thing - no we open Friday - no you get the thing open on Wednesday - and so on

Based on the forecast, Wednesday seems reasonable. Ski team starts Saturday, and they always try to open before Thanksgiving, and Tuesday should be good for snowmaking. But what do I know?
