  1. Just about an inch here; often with these systems the fun comes as the storm pulls away ad the NW flow gets established along with residual moisture, but we'll see... not counting on anything this year!
  2. 0.2 this morning. Which at this rate is more than we'll see from the upcoming storm!
  3. And while it’s definitely lean, we also need to remember that we have had more snow days so far in this awful season than most people in most of the country see amo am average winter. It’s nice to have climatology by your side. What sucks the most to me is the fact that glades can’t open. That’s my favorite thing.
  4. Ironically we lost more snow today than during the “cutter” that everyone feared
  5. Pretty strong inversion. It’s 19 in Littleton and 40 in Bretton Woods
  6. In the meantime, it’s -8F out. Brrrr
  7. A nice snowy evening. Eyeing a couple of inches
  8. Conditions today were close to perfect other than the thin coverage on the few natural trails open
  9. But what a day for skiing. Conditions were just about perfect. If only we had more snow this would have been amazing
  10. Bretton Woods has been quite good, but all groomers. Other than the fact that most of the mountain is still closed, the skiing is good
  11. Certainly the case here. Not a deep pack and only 1/3 of the groomers open, and glades only open for a day or two, but the combination of light snow most days and snow covered trees has made it feel nice and wintry - certainly a lot better than last year. Surprisingly though the ski area seems pretty empty, not nearly the crowds we usually see, even though people are here (we are sold out of homes)
  12. Crazier things have happened. Which is why I said the other day when I giggle when I see people debating what the temperature is going to be in 10 days
  13. Seeing people discuss the temperature 12-14 days from now makes me giggle. If I had to shovel the snow that is often progged for 12-14 days out I'd need an army... No offense but I don't think ANY forecast beyond a week has any clue
  14. Getting some unexpected heavy snow squalls
  15. Interesting concern about the fast charger availability, but they also keep building more and more of them. I’ve never seen them at more than 25% capacity even in Boston (and the app tells you how many slots are available at any given time)
  16. Yes at this rate this storm is slowly working its way to a warning event snowfall - just spread out over 3 days so nobody cares
  17. I thought they had released a fully electric F150 already? I actually think it would be pretty cool. One thing that I should mention is that the Tesla is incredibly fun to drive. The acceleration is incredible and the motor responsiveness makes it a blast to drive around. I’d imagine a truck could have some impressive power.
  18. Agree. Even if the pack is not that deep, it feels completely different. And of course the 48+ hrs of consecutive snow we’ve had so far helps too
  19. On a daily basis, I think it’s the opposite. You always have to think/plan to stop at a gas station. With a 300 mile range, I’ve only had to “stop” twice in about 4 months. In both cases it was very easy to squeeze it in with something else I had to do - one time I did grocery shopping while I waited, and another we just used the restrooms.
  20. It’s not a problem at all. At home, you can install a 40 amp charger that will charge it up in about 5 hrs. When traveling, you have a couple of options. There are network of EV chargers that work at various speed but generally you gain 20-50 miles per hour of charging. These are EVERYWHERE - in BTV they’re even at regular meters. Great if you’re doing something and need to leave your car somewhere. if you’re actually on the road and need to charge, you can use a supercharger. There’s many of those as well and you will get a 200 mile or so range in about 15-20 minutes. A full charge to 320 miles or so takes about 45 minutes. Last week coming back from Stowe we just went via Montpelier and stopped there to charge. By the time kids got a snack went to the bathroom and we got back to the car we had about 150 miles of range earned which was way more than we needed The car can also plot the right “path” for you when navigating with stops at a supercharger if needed, which is great. The advantage of doing that is also that it will prep itself so that the battery is ready for supercharging, which will make it faster. Oh and a “fill up” at a supercharger is about $15, way cheaper than gas and you don’t even need a credit card, it just goes to your Tesla account Hope this helps!
  21. BTW big improvement in conditions in the last few days. BW opened up a lot of terrain including a glade, and the surface was nice and soft.
  22. The Tesla has been awesome. No issues whatsoever. Handles really well and while it does cut down battery life a little, it’s not a big deal in real life. You still get 250+ mile range and if needed, there are chargers everywhere.
