  1. Expecting the usual downsloping/shadowing for the first part of the storm, then the fun stuff. Hopefully it won’t disappoint like most things this year! Headed to Stowe next week so it’d be good to have good conditions there. Wasn’t Great last time and the family is like - why are we skiing here again??? Need to change their mind, but they’re spoiled
  2. Would be about time... not that I believe anything at this range
  3. Somewhere around -37. I really don't need to see that again; spend 2 days rescuing people whose cars wouldn't start, plus a variety of frozen pipes
  4. May the odds be ever in your favor...
  5. Not sure what’s going on with my pws. Says 37F but literally every station around mine is at about 30F and the snow is sticking just fine with no melting. Usually it seems accurate…
  6. Temp crashing - nonetheless, we’ve had snow at 40F and rain at 19F. OyVey
  7. Not sure Stowe but here it shouldn’t have caused any issues, it was mostly sleet. PF - Let us know when the snow starts in Stowe so we have our one hour warning that the upslope is starting!
  8. Temp spiked here too! Cold front must be close by. Ended up with 0.8” of sleet/zr, so actually not a bad thing all in all and better than the forecasted <1” of snow. I’ll take an inch of sleet over an inch of snow lol from a skiing base building perspective. Forecast does call for snow showers overnight and again tomorrow night, we’ll see how that goes
  9. Mostly sleet here but the ski trails are absolutely amazing. It feels like skiing on butter.
  10. It’s raining and they’re making snow. Never seen that lol
  11. I definitely think that the #1 in the East for snow badge is well deserved. The terrain is not the best, but I have yet to find more consistently good conditions anywhere else
  12. P&C says less than 1, map says 2-3".
  13. Very true! Very few disciplines blend different subjects together the way biochem does - particularly chemistry/p-chem, physics, and biology, which is a great primer for anyone going into the biotech world, which is what I did. I ended up focusing on genetics first, and was lucky enough to be working in genetics for a pharma company at the time that the human genome project had started releasing data. Wildly exciting times. Then ended up in clinical research, program management and eventually... vacation rentals!
  14. Seems to be going in waves. Lightens up then picks up again
  15. Interesting, good for them! It's dumping here. That's why I don't get worked up if we get fringed by the storm. Usually they still give us some fun times even if it's not feet.
  16. That's how I felt driving from Bretton Woods to Bartlett when I lived there. That's why now I live amongst the moose and the bears...
  17. Snow has picked up again in intensity and switched from the sugary type to larger flakes
  18. Measured 2" on my deck (didn't feel like venturing too far lol) but then I noticed that the other side has like half a foot, so there's some drifting going on and probably more than 2" in reality. It's actually turning into a nice little "bread and butter" event
