  1. I really honestly don't remember seeing so many people so sick ever. It's crazy! The daughter of a friend has had a 100+ fever for over a week. Insane. I hope you feel better and that 2023 can bring some health to everyone!
  2. I just posted in the other thread - 33 here, 53 in Twin. It's wild!
  3. There are some wild temperatures around here. 33 at my house, 53 in Twin Mountain 6 miles away
  4. The auto road profile shows it perfectly
  5. 36 here. I was actually reflecting on how we deal with frost through mid June, but won't go below freezing in late December. Perfectly normal, I know, but funny to think about.
  6. Gotta admit, today felt awesome. Skiers looked stoked, even if the conditions are not perfect. Huge crowd. Looking strictly at the GFS, looks like things start looking pretty decent about a week for now - so for the time being, seems like we should enjoy this spring stretch, the real thing is still a ways away!
  7. Eek didn't realized that. Haven't heard much detail about it.
  8. There are a ton ton of amazing hikes here between Mt Washington and Franconia Notch, but please do be careful and really consider your experience level. Another hike died this week - second in a month. Winter hiking is serious business!
  9. Finally some decent snow here too. Been flurries for 3 days lol... now big fat flakes
  10. Took this picture yesterday - some pretty cool ice formation on the wetlands as the flood waters receded
  11. Just started flurrying here. Tried hockey with the kids -lol, we are a disaster. But fun. Skiing wasn't bad either.
  12. Yeah - at least the manmade snowpack. The natural will be so thin by then that its preservation is essentially meaningless
  13. Amazing that we manage to rain with a low going over the Cape lol
  14. I've gotta add, many times I have been surprised by the conditions in a "bad stretch." Good grooming can turn an icy trail into a really fun skiing day. I'm actually looking forward to the warmup - nicely groomed trails with 30s and 40s daytime high can be a treat in January!
  15. Merry Christmas! Just started flurrying as we opened presents. How festive! :p
  16. Definitely a net loss here but at least it's still white. 4" at the stake
  17. Flooded. Just moved everyone’s cars and made my way back through 2 feet of icy water. So fun… amazingly the renters all thought it was the coolest thing lol
  18. I thought once the front came through we were going to plummet? Dropped 10 degrees in minutes but now it’s ever so slightly going up. Weeeeeeeird
  19. Just went to check the river - it’s incredible to see. There is still 5” of snow in most spots but in between there are just 4-5” of slushy water. If that freezes before getting absorbed talk about a bullet proof base lol. Assume the cold front went through since this is my pws:
  20. It’s interesting how localized my flood threat is. The Ammo starts just a few miles from my house (it comes out of Lakes of the Clouds), so what it does is really dependent on just the few miles between my house and the top of Mt Washington. So far so good, but keeping an eye on it. 44F, pack down to 7”. Would be nice to keep a few just for looks lol
