It’s been ripping for the past few hours. Beautiful evening, took this shot earlier.

7” so far here and snowing harder than at any point today. Not a bad storm, especially given we don’t even have a WSW. Stake back up to 19”

There is definitely something surreal about this cold. It’s nowhere near my record low of -34, but that was with radiation cooling and dead calm wind. This wind makes it feel very different, it feels like a station at the South Pole lol

Never been dead before but I imagine that’s what death feels like lol JK. Only been out briefly, it just hurts, especially in the lungs. And the wood deck sounds like it’s about to shatter into crystals when you walk on it

13” of pure cement here. I freaked out earlier when I saw my dog walk by in the window lol… she’s not that tall that you can usually see her but she can walk on the snow without sinking at all. It took me a minute

Haha yes i suppose. Not unusual to see big differences in upslope or downsloping situations, but the change in temperature profiles was a bit unexpected for this. But could just be that I haven’t really been following this system, I thought it was more of a basic clipper
