  1. Just 5" here and wind still ripping
  2. I think Gene had a good point about the wind here. From a precip perspective, it doesn't seem like downsloping is much of a factor. Makes me wonder if he was right about the wind funneling up Crawford Notch. We are right at the entrance of that tunnel after all, and I've seen some cool days in the fall especially when a foggy myst pours in from the notch. The wind is exactly aligned with that direction b
  3. Snowing harder now and wind seems to have died down considerably
  4. They are becoming pretty common. I just built 3 houses and all 3 have hybrid heat pump/propane systems and it's awesome. The thermostat has an outdoor temp sensor, and automatically switches from heat pump to propane heat when the temperature drops below a certain level. It's awesome!
  5. Down to 17" now! Big melt day today. Amazing how well we torch with these conditions though; down into the notch towards Hart's Location/Bartlett the snowpack is MUCH deeper even though they get much less snow. Felt so good to be outside though... Almost makes me wish it was spring! I know, I know, how sacrilegious...
  6. I'm in North Conway for some shopping and the water coming down the gutters is like in a summer downpour. I have to admit, it feels great
  7. 38 now but looks like it spiked to almost 50F in the middle of the night. Snow hanging on for dear life, stake down to 23"
  8. Lower than forecasted tonight; forecast of 37 and it's 33 while my deck is a sheet of ice. The skiing today was awesome. Spring skiing at its finest.
  9. Keeps going back and forth between snow and freezing rain here. About 1/4" accumulated. 27/19
  10. Some light snow here but just a coating. 1.25" last night
  11. Haven't updated mine in a while... 114" for the season to date
  12. My brother has already claimed that role.
  13. It’s a great gig (and by the way, we are always looking for good people to help). Keep in mind, I only own a few properties, the others we just manage for other owners and take a cut (you need to be a licensed real estate agent to do that). The work is 24-7 and stressful at times but you also have great flexibility- is, can ski a few hours every day in the middle of the week.
  14. Lol. I always feel self conscious posting about how awesome things are exactly because of reactions like that. But yeah, things are really awesome in NNE. I love how deep it is, seeing this thick thick blanket of snow on everything. My driveway has walls on each side. The Xmas deer and sled are totally buried except for the tip of the antlers. Fire pits and seats are gone. Rock wall buried in what now looks like a completely flat surface. Oh yeah, some small flakeage tonight here too.
  15. With my microclimate it's hard to empathize with these Temps; they seem pretty ordinary lol. We've been in the -30s multiple times in just the few years I've lived here. Of course that's radiational driven so a different beast.
  16. It's funny to look at your P&C and see an avalanche watch lol GYX doesn't seem very concerned with the warmup. Snow almost every day next week except rain/snow on Tuesday with a high of 36. I assume that will have to be changed if op models are right about
  17. Spoke too soon. Heavy squalls now
  18. Might need a Severe Snow Squall Fail warning here. Some very light flurries lol
  19. 7.75 here today; underperfomed overnight and over performed during the day. A few pictures I took skiing this afternoon - awesome powder day!
  20. 5.75" here to start the week
  21. Yes it's a different type of snow. Much fatter flakes now, they stack up quickly. Very scenic
  22. Up to 4". Very nice rates
  23. Hit 100" for the season today, a bit ahead of last year (Feb 6) and the previous (Feb 13)
