Lots of scattered thunderstorms affected eastern Colorado and eastern New Mexico today, including the southeast Denver area. I heard there was a hail-soaked parking lot at NCAR (Valmont Drive, Boulder)

I got a video of a brief thunderstorm SE of Loveland and SW of Greeley. It was right at that time in the evening when you can easily see distant lightning bolts. I guess the lightning wanted to go down, then up.

CoCoRAHS reports range from 2.29" to 4.36" in Marion County, Indiana (outlier: 1.17")

This is a bowing squall line that is not producing a lot of storm reports right now. It produced quite a few wind reports earlier. It almost looks like half a hexagon.

I seem to remember that the GFS has had some problems in the summertime with dew points too high (75-80 degrees) in generally moist time periods in the Midwest. I wonder if this upgrade may improve that somehow.

Toledo has not had a June high temp of 59 or lower since 2003. I suppose it is even possible that Thursday would have a high temperature at 12:01 AM for eastern Michigan or northern Ohio, or SW Ontario, perhaps making it seem not so bad for the all-time record books and such.

Storms have blown up around Denver. There have been some hail reports near the north side of DIA. I'm sure there were a few delayed flights this afternoon.

That particular picture was from June 5th, when it rained in Fort Collins, but not much at my house. Last night (June 6) I saw a distant storm with bright lightning within the cloud at 10:00PM, to the south. The radar said it was near the north Denver Metro, so it was farther away than I thought.

Another possible tornado in Ohio (SE of Mansfield)

Fort Collins was -5.9 F for the month with 2.92" of precip and 3.0" of snow. So, once again, very unusual to have so much of this year below normal. I think most days since February 1st have been below normal. My place got 2.12" of precip and 3.2" of snow. (Loveland Co-op observer had 2.69" for the month, so I may be a bit wrong on my calculation.) Mayjawintastawm, (as of 3:16) it looks like you have now had some storms at or near your place for 3 straight days Raindance-- did you get those hailstones in your yard?? Some 55-60 dBz severe-warned storms near Wyandotte, MI. I wonder if we will get a report from Michsnowfreak on this.

Another possible tornado about 20 mi from DIA (red dot, northwest of the radar)

One of the tornadoes in Colorado was about 1 mile south of FTG airport, that is, 1 mile or more from the radar tower. I wonder how close it got to doing damage to the radar or the hangar/terminals at FTG. Otherwise, it seems that other tornadoes in NE Colorado had no damage to structures.

Scattered severe storms could affect the Front Range and plains of Colorado and Wyoming tomorrow. 2000 - 3000 J/kg of CAPE should exist with daytime heating. Dew points will be 50 degrees and above.

My area had rain and snow recently. this is the latest I have ever seen snow. Previous record for me was May 18, 2017 (I think.) I only saw snow in May once in Ohio or Michigan. Loveland: 1.08" of precip, 2.4" of snow Fort Collins: 1.13" of precip, 2.0" of snow Look at how wet the US has been. Back in Ohio, I think they are having trouble planting the corn and other crops. The Sierra Nevada and Rockies just had a big snowstorm
