Thread superstition aside...I was wondering why we even bothered making one with such low probability and really nothing else short or LR to track...Not like there would've been any confusion in the main thread, lol

Lol Honestly, I think it oughta depend on just how the winter is going. If it's one where things have just been hostile to snow and there are no other threats or promising LR stuff to track, a thread shouldn't be necessary...But that's just me.

I think folks in the east would be happy with the first 3 Now what must've been a real pain-in-the-butt in the 70s was that back-to-back ninas turned into thr 72-73 super niño which then spurred two more ninas, lol

It was over before this thread was even started, lol

Now I thought the front was Mid Dec-Jan but...maybe that's subjective?

But yet all of January was warm, wasn't it? Whereas last year and the previous ninas it was also cold...Can ya call two cold weeks in December front loaded? Lol

She goin'!!! I know it won't help for the rest of this winter, I'm just happy to see it go and see things try and set up for next winter. Get the heck outta here! Time and make room for El Niño...(No guarantees, of course, but I just wanna shuffle the ENSO deck again) Now to see if a neutral March bodes well for a solid Niño by Fall...

Dang that's really the same house?? For crying out loud (I wouldn't even wanna live there, lol). Yeah I play seasonally for two of the schools nearby and was surprised to see them closed! I mean I guess it's out of an abundance of caution and I get that...but I'm wondering if they close again tomorrow if they don't get him? Lol

Ah...ya know sometimes it's the little things...Mom texted and said they were playing Beethoven's Eroica on 90.9 and I stopped everything and just listened...heck. YES! The Eroica (Beethoven's 3rd symphony for those who don't know )...that development section in the first movement...my goodness. It is one the greatest in all of classical music, seriously. No development section ever went to those heights like ever...pure genius and absolutely epic! I mean so many moment in that movement...and then of course the rest of the symphony (including a incredibly moving double fugue in the 2nd movement that just takes you to anothe place), awesome them and variations in the 4th. In this symphony, musical drama reached places it had not before. I'm telling you: Music was never the same after the Eroica!

With some pizza places, cardboard and crust would be indistinguishable...lol

That's what I'm saying...if prime climo has stop the SER, why the frickle would it be any better in March? Lol And please let me unleash a bit of angst: WHY IS THE SER SO FRICKIN' STRONG THIS YEAR??? *pant, pant* Alright I'm good

60 degrees in winter just feels different than another time of year...It's like it is 60 but it still has the winter bite somehow, lol Walked earlier with a cap but almost wanted a warmer hat!

Pizza is the pinnacle of a comfort dinner--no debate acceptable Best I had was a place called Toss on York Rd. near Belvedere Sq. Just a simple pepperoni with garlic sauce and it was the BEST. They closed down a couple years ago, unfortunately...but I think the owner still has another at Pie in the Sky in Canton. Yeah I used to eat pizza every week, but then...cholesterol dang it, lol

Interesting that you assumed I live in a basement... Now here's the kicker: My bedroom is on the second floor, lol (older house, leaky walls)

Don't know about anybody else but that actually makes it worse for me...I'd rather keep the windows closed and pretend we still need the heat, lol (actually my bedroom can hold onto a chill for days, so I can still feel it )
