  1. Can we truly believe the potential this time around?
  2. In a winter where not much has been dependable, that beast of a southern stream has been a constant! You would think 3-4 weeks in a favorable pattern should yield dividends that have no shortage of moisture! Please oh please, lol
  3. Never said I expected it (I'm aware of the mean)...just that I prefer it. Now if I somewhat expect anything...based on our history it's this: that we hit about 20" at least every 3-4 years (and a few times hitting at least that 2 or 3 years in a row like we did between 2013/14 and 2015/16) ...now, not surprisingly, we hit the median more often! Only a few times did we go longer than that...Overall, Baltimore history has a "we're due" pattern...so we could be close if we ain't there already!
  4. Top 4 government shutdowns...each lasting longer than 12 days...all followed by winters that had a big snowstorm. Dec. 1995-early January 1996 being the longest and the last time a shutdown went from December to January...and we all know what happened there!) But shall the trend continue?...well, it seems we have a little over a month to find out!
  5. True. I think mediocre is indeed a better term (I think the close misses just made it feel worse than that, lol) Hard to imagine Baltimore doesn't break double digits this year...we only need 3 more! But of course...my preference is the average of at leadt 20" as opposed to the median!
  6. For me, anything below 20 inches (Baltimore average) isn't a great winter. And to be fair, the way a lot of us got to 15 inches or so was the most dissatisfying way to get there: not one time did I have to shovel. A winter where I don't have to shovel is not a good one in my book. (at least this winter I shoveled once for the first time since 2016!)
  7. People on here won't let you forget nothin'....I relented on my previous position of not being impressed with the mid-week storm, and was ready to let it go...until SOMEBODY decided to stir it up again. What, am I supposed to not respond?
  8. That is awesome indeed...Layering up for the bitter cold was well worth it!
  9. Well...this would be a nice silver lining for the weekend...I hope he's right and it gets clear enough!!
  10. No kidding about that! Line would probably stop right at Baltimore City, lol
  11. Yeah, I mean...the snow greed in me wants to be jealous, but...just being able to go outside and be surrounded by it...(and using my shovel for the first time since 2016)...nice start to our prime climo! Can't wait to see what's on tap in the coming weeks!
  12. Dang all the schools went and flipped the off switch, lol
  13. Well hey we reached warning status...that's a plus, right? Lol
  14. Yeah kinda sucks...but, it doing just as modeled
  15. I'm a bit jealous of those heavy bands down there...hope they can make it up there! (Yeah I'm that guy...I'll grow past it eventually, lol)
  16. Seems to be a bit heavier here in the city...not sure if the heavier stuff has made it up here yet...
  17. Wonder if Balt. City will officially hit 5 inches for the first time 2016 (even the storm last March officially came up like .4 inches short, haha)
  18. Amazing how the city has kinda been the dividing line (even since the deeper colors on would halt literally at the city...why is that? Just topography, or just where the entire storm happened to be positioned?)
  19. How about Balt. City? (I selfishly wanna hit at least 5 inches, lol)
  20. Only measuring about 4 here in northeast Balt. City...but perhaps I may not be measuring correctly, lol Been in a lull the last couple hours, but some furries starting to move in again. I still want to hit the 5 inch mark!
  21. So you're saying that it's possible that...the hecs truck is back and it's better than ever?
  22. How much have you measured? (Just waking up, lol)
