  1. Gotta give CTP credit, they never were bullish like SPC. This setup never looked right for me, especially with light rain already hitting the region. Good for me though, I have a 6:45 a.m. flight tomorrow and the plane tonight lands at 10:50 p.m. so I don't want anything to cause that flight to get cancelled because mine would then get cancelled. Priorities, yo.
  2. I agree - this set up looks like you're going to have be south/east to see much of anything.
  3. It’s 98 degrees at my parents house in Texas right now (10 pm there). Was 107 there today. Heat index was around 120. I fly down Wednesday.
  4. It was warmer in the sun than I expected today actually. But what a morning and tonight is amazing.
  5. I’m in town next week, Tuesday through Sunday. I hope I can eat my Shivers quickly so it doesn’t immediately melt.
  6. The weekend - Saturday early morning and late night especially - look ideal. Zero humidity, hovering around 60.
  7. The next week to 10 days look about normal - maybe a tad cooler at night. I say that because that buys us another week without the above average heat we saw all July. And we are working toward mid August so a few more weeks and the chance of that heat is gone.
  8. Had .25” rain today - in about 30 mins. Lancaster and Berks counties look like they got hammered.
  9. Someone might see some pretty good gusts tomorrow afternoon.
  10. Really nice little popup t-storm just rolled through HBG. Looks like the heaviest missed to the north but we did get a good rain for 10 or so minutes. My very dry garden is happy.
  11. Wrigley's OK - it's kinda a dump right now because previous ownership didn't put any money into it and they literally had concrete chunks falling on fans. The neighborhood is the best part of Wrigley, IMO. Fenway is the best park in baseball when you factor out comfort. It's IMO much more "oh my god this is God's game" beauty than Wrigley. I've been to every MLB stadium except the new Miami one. I rank the top few as: 1) Fenway (BOS) - I try to take my bias out too, unless you are behind a pole or in a section that you have to turn to see home it can't be beat. If you have those issues though you'll probably hate life for a few hours 2) PacBell/Oracle (SF) - It's about perfect. And concessions-wise it's very unique. 3) PNC (PIT) - Too bad the franchise with the worst ownership in pro sports play there 4) PetCo (SD) 5) Dodger Stadium (LAD) 6) Wrigley (CHC) 7) Target Field (MIN) 8) Camden Yards (BAL) 9) Kauffman (KC) 10) Coors Field (DEN)
  12. Grass on the other side of my garage is basically dead. Around 2" rain in July will do that to you when it's 4+ degrees warmer than average.
  13. Forecast high was 86. Currently 92. Hot and dry summer sucks.
  14. The following presentation sums up Harrisburg’s summer.
  15. Man I hate CBP. I find it void of any atmosphere and any stadium where you can’t walk from the LF to RF pole to me should be burnt lol. YMMV of course
  16. Retractable roof for the Diamondbacks. It lacks any character whatsoever - kinda like Citizens’ in Philly, but is a good place to catch the best sport in the world.
  17. My 100 percent chance of heavy rain today resulted in some clouds late this afternoon. That was exciting.
  18. For the first time this summer, this storm that was west of HBG moved over the city and the storm deepened overhead. Nice deluge for a good 20 minutes now. I bet @sauss06 is floating down Cameron Street right now.
  19. I look forward to the record-setting Arizona blizzard this November!
  20. Nope, slid south by. I bet Wormleysburg had a nice rain there though - looked heavy across the river.
  21. Yup! A little 5 minute shower which saves me from having to water tonight. Heavier cell will not cross the river though so @sauss06 wins again.
