Finally flipped back to snow.

Not sure we're even at 2" in Harrisburg. I can't tell if its sleeting or very fine snow. I'm going to have to go out.
Been sleeting for at least 25 minutes. And looks around 1.75" give or take.

Field across the street is covered again - it was bare yesterday. It’s already a god day.

we're in storm mode. the silence in here is deafening.
It’s gonna snow. Nothing special, but fresh snow to cover the green grass. Be happy!

I had a sun angle talk yesterday with a bunch of Texans. Ironically I was explaining how it can work i their favor and help clear the roads today despite marginal temps.

.The more the merrier. This has been a great winter, any snow at all is a bonus.

Sticking with my 4-6” for MDT.

Not much new snow, less than an inch. The rest has been sleet in Longview.
Warm layers screwed that area of ET this morning, flipping to sleet before it should've.

Here comes my round 2. Beginning as sleet in Longview. 2-3" of snow/sleet followed by 0.1"-0.2" freezing rain seems likely. Hopefully more snow and less ice.
I took a drive around town tonight. As expected, the roads are horrible. Still pretty manageable with 4wd, but roadways and especially intersections are becoming very icy as vehicles have continued driving on them.
Looks like little zr and mostly snow but some sleet at the onset and wrap.

I just came from the Philly thread (this forum...not Philly weather) and Ralphie Simpson is making it sound like storm cancel. I don't think the 0z guidance looks too bad? I mean - if we're expecting 12-18" well yeah, but this should still be a 3-6", 4-8", 5-10" kind of deal.
I'll take that.
My general thought in winter: Much like a woman, you take the 4-6” you get and be happy with it.

Y’all won’t believe this but the GFS appears to be a @Cashtown_Coop jackpot.

Brothers upstairs is now downstairs. And sounds like they’re finding lots of deceased around Galveston and Brazoria.

My brothers upstairs is apparently downstairs due to busted pipes.

If there's a W/NW wind, I get hammered and pray siding isn't ripped from the house.

Just now have a chance to look at Thursday. Looks like a general nice 3-6, maybe up to 8" to the north, event. Very nice.
-
My parents got to -5 last night, shattering any record low ever. Dallas proper to go -2.

Longview and Tyler broke all-time record lows this morning. -5F and -6F, respectively.
Mighty impressive. What was the previous low for Longview, any idea?

It is POURING sleet. If "heavy sleet" is a thing, this is it.
