    Gotta spend money before the holidays be of the year or you don’t get it allocated next. One issue I haven’t seen anything about is penndot is down a ton of drivers. If we even get snow roads aren’t being cleared anytime soon - they’re down almost half of its drivers iirc

    Greetings from Dallas when it is 57 and sunny. Lots of heavy coats being worn. Friday it’ll be 80-82 here. Go figure.

    Your backyard is somewhat like mine with stuff all around- but I have mine on my garage eve - it’s 16’ or so off the ground. Not perfect but the best I can do. MDT ha had 46 gusts within the hour too.

    Have had a couple 46 mph gusts the past 20 mins. The inbound flight that brings the place we fly early tmrw lands in 30 mins - that’s a bumpy rude no doubt.

    It just started ramping up here - has been flat calm the last 4 hours. Pittsburgh is still blowing 10-15 more than forecast.

    It has taken farrrrrrrrr longer than I expected for winds to hit the LSV. Thought it’d be calm by midnight but with the delay it’ll blow hard until 5 or so am.

    Winds out west around Altoona and Pittsburgh are 10-15 mph stronger than forecast. Pitt gusting to 44.

    Oh I'm from East Texas ... will be in Dallas tomorrow. Everyone here has heard stories of real storms from there lol.

    This made me spit out water lol. Not making fun, but I pictured some angry German WWII officer yelling as his company was being blasted by the Allies. "Retreat via the bridge. Not that bridge, the other bridge!"

    Yup! An inch or two of snow won't be a big deal ... the early GFS onset of a warning-level storm is what caused my worry.

    I believe this is CTP's issue - there simply isn't any qpf with the system regardless of the HP location.

    I have a 40 percent of snow showers, no accumulation. I hate wind too - gonna be lots of guts into the 40s later this afternoon and early evening. Our flight out is tomorrow am and the plane we leave on lands here at 10:30 p.m. I"m skeptical that plane actually takes off for here with gusts at 45. It's not a pure crosswind, but it's somewhat close with the runway orientation.

    CTP has removed any real mention of measurable snowfall from Wednesday. Essentially a WAA over a very small area.

    Well we have them lined up but if we get a 8” of snow no one will drive. Even 4” makes it dangerous and I doubt they would risk that for their own safety. Jesus.
