If anyone wants drama I’m sitting at DFW for a 8:35 pm eastern takeoff. Do I beat the incoming severe storms or js this flight canceled and is stuck overnight?
We’ll see!
Definitely not clean - think hail will be the biggest issue (other than wind gusts).
For the metroplex it looks like a later start - after sunset and maybe even as late as 10 pm before things get going if I’m seeing models correctly)
My flight home from Dallas Monday evening looks like it won’t happen. Flying in mid March to mid April in Texas is more a risk than winter flying in and out of buffalo.
If it’s spotty I’m not worried - can’t tell if it’ll be a slow moving line or just pop up stuff as the trough progresses (and I’m not sure how much moisture will be available).
Supposed to fly out of DFW Monday around 6:30 pm. How big is this upcoming Monday event going to be? Looking at proactively moving my flight as I have a feeling it’ll be a disaster trying to fly out of Dallas
Just got off a very rough flight - the atmosphere is juiced. It just depends on how much warmth works down there. I’m not sold on anything too crazy but if it heats up then all bets are off. Think the border south is a bigger threat but I haven’t seen any models or guidance since last night
Heard from a good source the cause of that horrific 81 accident was a woman was going to miss the exit and yanked her wheel to go from the outside lane to the exit, causing the truck in the right lane to slam its brakes and jackknife.
