91 here at 7:30. Record lasting warmth on tap. It feels like the hottest summer because the median temp has to be high despite record highs. If it never cools down, it doesn’t matter if it’s 10l imo. Here is CTP on record warmth: Near-record overnight low temperatures are possible Tuesday morning at Williamsport. The record warmest low temperature for August 9th of 74F occurred in 1900. Interestingly, the low temperature at Harrisburg on the same day in 1900 was 83F - the warmest low temperature ever recorded at the site. Although the magnitude of warmth at Harrisburg will not be anywhere near any records, the duration of warm nights could be. Harrisburg recorded a low temperature of 76F on Sunday 8/7. If the current forecast verifies, the low temperature will be at or above 75F for at least 3 days in a row (through Tuesday), but possibly 4 days in a row (through Wednesday). Here are some statistics about Tmin>=75F at Harrisburg: Exactly 3 nights in a row: 6 times on record and as recently as 7/21-7/23/2022 Exactly 4 nights in a row: 8 times on record and as recently as 7/16-7/19/2013 5 nights in a row: 3 times on record and as recently as 8/10-8/14/2016.

It was AWFUL. And we're Texans. It was freakishly hot/humid then, wayyyy more than normal, so hopefully you have better luck. It was hotter there than in Panama which we were in a few months prior! We stayed in Hamilton, very cool place. Want to go back but like in January lol.

So heads up: we went to Bermuda August 26-Sept 2 in 2015. I might have never been hotter and my wife had a heat stroke.

It seems hotter this year despite the jo record high heat imo because the overnight lows are so high. I don’t have data but I prob have been in the 60s only aha duo of times since June. 72-75 is the norm now so it never cools down.
