  1. OK, that is what I was thinking but hadn't looked if the H was going to still suppress the actual system. Gonna be a wet, wet Saturday in NYC methinks.
  2. @Bubbler86 do models bring any wind up here?
  3. Not sure it'll be over water long enough to regroup to get above a Cat 1, myself. But there is going to be a severe flood issue in the Smokies in the Carolinas and Apps in VA IMO.
  4. I think we could get up to 1" rain Saturday here. I bet the Nats game gets rained out - seems Ian wants to continue a tack east which brings more moisture up this way.
  5. Thanks - I knew they had strong winds all day. I got video from them around 11 am of the ocean being sucked away from their dock (it was WILD) but nothing since and it appears cell service is dead for them.
  6. Any surge reports from Sarasota? Family there and I can’t reach, they’re on the water.
  7. I want an idiot reporter standing outside in a hurricane to get decapitated - maybe that’ll stil this stupidity.
  8. I have video of the reverse surge at the fam's place ... at 11 am. i'ts INSANE. Can't reach them now (I'm sure they're safe)
  9. 44 - amazing am Packing rain shells for NYC.
  10. Cuba and Haiti are beyond failed states. It’s so demoralizing.
  11. This is insane. 13-8 now, and I bet 13 isn’t enough to win.
  12. Models showing Ian doesn't stall and instead moves back into the Atlantic for a 2nd landfall around Charleston then drives the remnants up here as the H weakens.
  13. Well true, though the cost is a liiiiiiiiiitle different between the two!
  14. If you like snow, I hope it's much closer to Cashtown haha
  15. It'd be a competitive series! The entire org is trash right now.
  16. If all else fails, the infield lower level concourses are wide and have unobstructed views of the game. But like @Itstrainingtime said, they've had no crowds this year so you'll have no issue moving up under the decking if necessary. It's a nice park.
  17. The likely of a Charleston hurricane impact seem to be exponentially growing; is there anything atmospherically to prevent it as it looks to be driving far more SE than originally forecast?
  18. Ha, ok sold! But yeah, I find it hard to believe a stall there until Sunday. If it doesn't, you'd think it could get here by Sunday afternoon. Question is if it's got any juice left for rain. That high means business.
  19. If it could hold off until Monday morning, that'd be ideal for everyone in this forum I believe. And So It Shall Be Done.
  20. Sarasota Bay is even shallower - a large majority is around 7-8'.
