All that mid-month cold is going to do is kill the peach and apple trees in the SE, they're blooming already (a few weeks early). It'll kill stuff here too, but that'll be a bigger issue down there.
I was at UNT in 2002 when a stork with baseball size hail hit with 70 mph winds. That sucks, always.

I'm more focused on the severe WX headed for my fam in East Texas Thursday night. SPC will probably have them in a high risk for severe with >25% TOR outbreak. Metrics are ... no bueno.
