  1. 18z GFS a few tics NW going towards the Euro for the end of the week event.
  2. You would need better rates but you will need a better wrapped up system too.
  3. Yeah, I don't place a whole lot of stock in any of those maps but that seems to be closer to reality in some of the areas, Just have to look at soundings for a general consensus of what actually could be reality for any locale.
  4. I noted this a few pages back i think that the tues morning commute could be a bit slick up here.
  5. Yes Will, Definitely, Its been several seasons since we've had the cold scenario early on in Dec, Its just more dangerous conditions when you get snow over unfrozen ground bogs and smaller bodies of water not knowing ice thickness because of the insulating characteristics of the snow cover, Takes longer to build an ice pack from the bottom up, Over the past 4-5 seasons or so, Its been a late Jan start because of the lack of cold in NW Maine, If it works out, Probably can move that back to early Jan.
  6. I'll take the cold pattern going in, If something pops, All the better.
  7. Verbatim, The euro would be a pelt fest then a flip to snow at my location but would rip in the foothills.
  8. Just get the GFS to come a bit NW and a couple more tics SE on the Euro and this ends up being a decent interior event.
  9. 12z Euro SE a couple tics with the slp tracking over the cape, A bit colder as well.
  10. That's the ideal scenario but for the last several years it has not been the case.
  11. I'd rather get the ground frozen to start with, Looks like its going to be a cold start to December so that helps.
  12. Outside of the elevations and inland in NNE, It would be a rainer.
  13. 12z GFS looks like its a couple tics north of the 06z run for Turkey day and about 4mb stronger.
  14. Over amped and on its own, A compromise would be better between both but that air mass is still iffy.
  15. Its pretty flat and outside of the coastal areas up here it whiffs.
  16. Have to watch the GFS to see if it sniffs something out with that SLP along the front going forward, That would probably be a better scenario for a lot more folks especially inland areas.
