There are many that would probably disagree with this.

We use to get some 1/8 and 1/4 sticks back in the day and they would make some pretty large craters as well as wiping out mailboxes and getting all the fish you wanted in a pond without dipping a line in the water.......

Its going to happen, No doubt, People are careless.

Get use to it, Sales are up over 100% because of all this Covid crap going on, People staying home needing something to do, And all these July 4th Cities/Towns cancelling their displays, Its only going to get worse, Deaths/Injury's will be up as well because of them.

Had i knew then what i know now, I would have done my neighbor a favor when they were dormant and removed this nest in early spring, It won't happen next year.

Here in my yard in Lew, One of there favorite species of trees is crab apple and my neighbor had a fairly big nest in his tree this spring, When the larvae hatch and they leave the nest, It releases all the toxic hairs into the air as well as when the caterpillar moults into a moth, It leaves behind the carcass, I had several on my foundation but thought nothing of it not having to deal with them before but quite aware now.

They had been concentrated in the mid coast area for quite a few years but move in this area for the first time as I have not had to deal with them and until you get it, You don’t know you have an issue and I have found out the hard way but now know the trigger for it.

Not contagious so maybe the GF or wife may take pleasure if you got them?

Grabbed a pic off the internet, Its their barbed toxic hairs that become airborne in dry conditions that can end up anywhere on your body exposed or not.

We have it all, If you have had poison ivy before, Just multiply that times 10, And there is no cure for the brown tail moth rash.

I would trade for the tics over the brown tail moths, These dry conditions are the worst in that regard...............

I see cells firing over the lakes region and on that trajectory its usually good here as long as we don't get 7-10'd, We shall see.
