Right. I’m with you. Snow is snow even it amounts to nothing. By March 1st I’m in spring mode.

It’s always been that way tho. Gfs is the only one deepening the offshore low close enough to us to give us stupid totals. Without it, it’s rain/snow showers, with marginal temps and hoping the ivt sets up overhead. That ivt can easily be east or west and give central MD down to DC and VA next to nothing. but pretty snow maps

Without the bombing coastal, the gfs would be low impact too

Not gfs level good. Light rain/snow all day before ivt kicks in. Which doesn’t happen until after 4, and maybe .5” qpf from ivt with temps marginal

Depends on what model you look at. Gfs has dc down to 32 by 15z Sunday. And evap cooling will do its thing and make things colder for places where it’s snowing. Won’t be 10:1, but it will snow even at 33

The low position helps too. The low came west, so did the trough.

I was up too. Was 3 doors down at a friends for the night. Mom calls to say come home to watch my sleeping sisters, dad was out of town.. she needed to run to the gas station. She got milk and all that after seeing the news. I went back to friends, where I stayed for 3 days haha

I told a mom group chat that a random Facebook weather page was wrong when it posted the gfs, and we were not getting more than a few inches of snow. I will never hear the end of it if a more gfs type solution happens and we up here get 6
