  1. Agreed. I've been mapping tornadoes for almost a decade and i have to say, seeing very limited injuries and deaths, with such a large scale tornado sequence, is really impressive.
  2. SPC has been doing a pretty good job given the amount of severe weather the last two weeks. Its been a bit hectic. yes, i know most will say the High risk busted, but overall they are doing one heck of a job. I am even more impressed with offices like Kansas City that had a 30-40 minute warning ahead of the EF4 that was on the ground for over 30 miles, with only 18 injuries and no deaths. That's some good work.
  3. yeah, i have no idea. just seeing it be discussed on twitter.
  4. No. Called anticylonic tornadoes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticyclonic_tornado about 2% or so of them are ones that rotate the other way
  5. you will never hear me complain about someone posting tornado videos
  6. also, did anyone notice the rotation on radar yesterday when the storm went through the White Marsh area? seems it was rotating clockwise and not counterclockwise?
  7. i mean, its a beautiful tornado. so i get it. but yes. its old.
  8. I'm on teeball duty tonight, so even if it doesn't storm, some rain would be nice.
  9. Yeah, i heard the White Marsh area and Perry Hall had quite a bit of damage, i imagine NWS will be out there today to check it out WBAL was showing pics of some really large trees down across a road, bringing down power lines. Hopefully your beer is okay!
  10. I went out to dinner after work and was under a thunderstorm warning around 545. I left the area to drive home around 630 and caught a shelf cloud. Though, it never rained...so I'm not sure if it was on the western edge of the cell that hit the White Marsh area. I was driving and didn't look at radar. It had rained at home, I am due north of Baltimore city, about 3 miles from the PA line, but no idea if it stormed or not.
  11. It will probably do it, when I am not home. Heading out with some coworkers for dinner/drinks edit to add: @nw baltimore wx if you're in the area, I'll be down at The Stil off York
  12. lol had no idea what you ere talking about, then looked in MD. I'm enjoying the sun while between both the cells
  13. hail spike on radar. wouldn't be surprised to see some big hail reports out of it.
  14. are you guys busting on today? or tomorrow? lol hard to keep track which day you're talking about.
  15. the severe threads forum-wide has sucked in the last few years. 2011-2012 was the height of when central and midwest forums were the go to for severe chat. its pretty crappy now. i stay here.
  16. are you new here? we get 50 page threads for flurries in the winter. why would severe weather be any different?
