id be more worried about the dry air than any icing event.

i dont think anyone should be "worried" about anything. too many of you live and by die by the models. if a quarter inch of ice is still showing up on the models by friday, then people can be cautious.

sounds about right. a coworker lives right there in that monkton/mt carmel interchange area and he said it was horrendous. both north and south bound on york. sorry you got stuck in that mess.

oh boy -- there was a multi-vehicle crash around 630am northbound on 83 between Mt Carmel and Middletown that involved two tractor trailers and three other cars. Northbound was closed. Obviously everyone going south on 83 stopped and looked, and the further back towards PA you got, people bailed onto York Road to head south clogging up that entire Hereford area. I was over an hour late today -- the school before care director was stuck in the traffic north and couldn't accept kids. I had to wait until someone arrived at school. was after 8am before I finally left Parkton and was still 40 minutes later when I got to work. yesterday was equally as bad.

I'm cool with anything wintry. It will be colder come the weekend, even if its mixed bag precip event. but def not worth jumping off the ledge over.

what? As far as I can tell, only the 00z Euro had that type of solution. Thats definitely not enough to say models are converging. Dial back the hyperbole a bit. you aren't new here.

I don’t think the CAD is the issue, pretty sure it’s the low location and 850 temps rising while the surface stays cold, hence the uptick in sleet and ice
