  1. another large polygon warning from LWX. can see the dark approaching from the west. loud rumbles of thunder
  2. hearing lots of rumbles of thunder now. lot of activity north in PA from Hanover to York. @showmethesnow probably had a nice storm
  3. yeah, if you put radar in motion you can see the tail-end of it starting to hook
  4. probably best when little inflow notches keep popping up and disappearing. lots of low level rotation within the line.
  5. some wind within, but looks like a little area of possible rotation near Boonsboro, just east of Keedysville
  6. If you're north, like me, don't sleep on the stuff out west near Hagerstown. Should move east along the PA/MD line
  7. because as standard practice, watches/warnings/advisories are always in a time frame that is longer than the possible threat. its just normal practice
  8. blue sky popping through the clouds here. low rumbles of thunder off to my east
  9. this might help https://www.aviationweather.gov/static/help/taf-decode.php
  10. coworker who lives in the Monkton area is without power
  11. then whats the point of this thread and an obs thread? if we are going to post our severe winds, watches, rain, etc in that thread... why have this one?
  12. i wouldnt migrate to a new thread. severe obs/disc here as usual
  13. Regardless of what spc goes with, please everyone make sure you have a safe place to go should you find yourself under a tornado warning. With a quick low-level flow these storms will be booking it through the area. Should anything rotate, it will spin up fast. Stay safe y’all.
  14. Oh.. high winds arent following the front? lol didn’t know thee was a chance. It’s spring man
  15. There’s so much going on I can’t keep track lol okay, two threats for tomorrow. Morning qlcs as mentioned, then possible more discrete cells later in the day then high winds after that, right?
  16. You mean Monday. Tomorrow’s action is down south
  17. Yeah I hope people aren’t being lackadaisical down south for Sunday. Looks impressive, the 4/2011 analog is worth keeping in mind too monday is tricky, like EJ said, could end up being QLCS type setup, maybe some spin ups on front edge as notches form. Or could be a rainy event without much severe
