See, you're doing it again.
There can be advisories issued on weekends where there aren't rush hours to deal with. many areas WILL SEE WINTRY PRECIP, and an advisory is the lowest thing that can be issued to give people a heads up.
I'm not sure why you are saying a METEOROLOGIST WHO KNOWS WHAT HES TALKING ABOUT is wrong.
no offense, but i've never heard someone bitch about an advisory before. usually everyone is whining how they didn't get a watch and got an advisory instead. youre questioning seems to be petty and immature.
Cranky has 2-4" for the same areas. I think its possible to get up to 4" but it would be snow/sleet combined. Unless the NAM is right, then we are lucky to see an inch or so.
never thought i'd see the day where someone complains about an advisory being issued. usually its everyone whining about when they get issued and how the snow depends on it.
this place.
looking at pivotal weather for soundings, my area
12z 23 degrees, snow
18z 27 degrees, snow (warm nose is there but its realllllllly shallow)
00z 34 degrees once precip is out of area
i may never flip to rain
Ha! Ava and I are buddies, she visited my kid's school last year, and we just had lunch together a couple weeks ago. She's awesome.
yeah the NAM gives me pause.
i did text with ava a little bit -- high bust potential she said, but she thinks areas along the border will stay colder longer and not flip as quickly. i doubt i see 4", but wouldn't be surprised at 2".
a wintry event is a wintry event and worth be happy over. at least, thats how i view it. i get that not everyone sees things that way, but you gotta take the small wins when you get them. could always be worse.
Ever since I moved north I have seen how much snow really impacts peoples personalities, and its really mind boggling. It's just snow. Why be a dick to the people receiving some because they live in a more favorable location for snow and you don't? Ill never get it.
