the beach, access points, boardwalk and inlet parking will be open for locals only. Social distancing will still be required, though no masks are required on the beach. The goal is to let the locals living in OC be able to go walk the boardwalk and beach. It is not meant for tourist to go to the beach

Despite what you may have thought he meant, he never mentioned race. I think we can end this topic though and move on. It’s not going to go anywhere fun

I am inclined to agree. i think even if states slowly start to reopen, you won't see the usual community pools operating normally, if at all this summer. this goes for concerts, movie theaters, malls, restaurants, etc. its going to be a good long while before ANYTHING is operating business as usual. Regardless of when states give the all clear I fully expect the 20 year anniversary Disturbed tour Ive got tickets too in July will not be going on as scheduled. And its okay... it is what it is.

Memorial Day weekend and pool seasons shouldn't be the reason why Hogan or Northam open the states. Youll have to do better than that for good reasons.

IMO, you should all get tested. this was discussed earlier. this whole "unless you show symptoms" bullshit reasoning for not testing people is dumb.

its small compared to older more vulnerable age groups, but this goes back to risk and every family having a different level of risk they are okay with. unfortunately, until either MD or VAs governors say its okay, we are all stuck at home

and if we try and view from their shoes, i am sure they dont like that we (those who are still getting by without too many issues) are implying that stay at home orders are hunky dory and everyone should just deal with it. it goes both ways, and we all should try and do better to see the other side. myself included.

    COVID-19 Talk

there have been many valid points from people who oppose the stay at home orders, they just aren't delivered well that invites debate. schools and kids risk is one of them. what you or i may deem too risky may not be the same for others, and i get it, and understand. but its just how things are right now. i dont enjoy being home day in and day out, my mental health is shit for sure because of it. but i keep abiding because i know overall those putting the guidelines in place are doing so with everyones best interest in mind. but i acknowledge that its easy for me to say that. we have the means to work from home, haven't missed a paycheck, bills still get paid, food on the table etc. we are lucky compared to many and i feel for those going through it.

i think his argument is that right now kids going to school isnt going to be super safe if the chance they get sick is high. hence him comparing to letting kid set of fireworks.
