  1. some flange came loose which resulted in refrigerant leaking. so he fixed that, refilled it and we are good to go. $300 later of course hahahahaha
  2. Thanks for the information! Not sure yet what the issue is, HVAC is working on it now. I'm in charge of keeping dogs sane and kiddo on track with school while Mr. Map deals with the HVAC. Takes a village!
  3. our AC died yesterday. So between juggling my work schedule, Mr Maps schedule, the kid's schedule, now we have to also wrangle dogs from the HVAC guy who shows up in 30 minutes. Happy First day of school! lol is it happy hour yet?
  4. Windows opened! Happy weekend friends
  5. Nothing but light rain up here, hope everyone made it out okay down south.
  6. All the good stuff is south. That warned storm looked pretty good at first
  7. you just made a bunch of weenies hearts flutter.
  8. 82/74 here, with cloudy skies as a light shower passes to my north, FWIW
  9. can you post the RAOB sounding when its released?
  10. i hope you do get something, friend! of course i always want severe IMBY, but i like when others get it too.
  11. nah i dont think youre pessimistic, per say. you just have higher expectations than the rest of us on what falls into severe categories.
  12. def follow @CAPE posts since he's a mid-eastern shore resident.
  13. not a silly question! welcome! yeah, the tornado threat is for any discrete cells that may pop up, and/or tornadoes that may spin up in a QLCS (quasi-liner convection system) aka bowing lines Wind seems to be the biggest threat today, hence the 30% from SPC. But can't rule out a tornado.
  14. mark tweets often enough. he's got a kid now and this place tends to fall off the radar with young ones at home.
  15. its uncanny. i love this place, truly i do. we all play our roles, we all know what they are. and yet we still give each other shit over it. love it.
  16. QLCS tornadoes worry me more than stand alone supercell tornadoes. QLCS are harder to predict as they can quickly spin up and do a bit of damage before dying out.
  17. steamy for sure. windows all fogged up with condensation
  18. was texting Ava a bit this morning -- she thinks Baltimore south has better chances than north due to morning rain/clouds.
