  1. lot of good obs guys. im guessing i'm right on the edge of the warm layer.
  2. yeah, ive got two panes opened on radarscope - radar and CC. I see what you're talking about. Thanks, PSU. Def noticed a change in the radar over the last hour, previously all bands were coming from the southeast, but now its coming out of PA towards the southwest. my wishful thinking was a lucky break. I'm in between bands right now, good band down from Kingsville through Hereford up towards Hampstead, then another band rotating out of PA from Shrewsbury down east of Jarrettsville. Fingers crossed.
  3. ive been under bands all morning, just stupid wasted sleet instead. maybe if the stuff rotates out of PA the column will finally cool? wishful thinking.
  4. i hate sleet with a passion. nothing annoys me more than hearing it hit the side of the house.
  5. okay. well, the radar is wrong. so doesnt seem very valuable to me. but you do you.
  6. as long as that 850 layer stays +1 or above, your precip will be sleet unless it falls fast enough to cool the column. so far that's not happening.
  7. except its not snow up here like that radar depicts
  8. sure would be nice if it flipped back to snow! 27/26 here with sleet
  9. still sleety here. though in between heavier bands, taking its sweet time to rotate NW
  10. heavier bands of precip heading northwest, will see what kind of precip it is when it gets here.
  11. 9am updated of SPC meso shows the warm 850 layer now south of Baltimore, cuts through northern AA county, eastern Howard, southeastern MoCo and north of DC
  12. lol -- yeah 850 still warm overhead, hopefully that move south in the next couple of hours.
  13. thats good to know. SPC mesoanalysis still showing that 850 warm layer above
