My mom has been feeling pretty down and out the last few weeks trying to get herself one. just always so "I hate everything" when we talk. Her mood did a complete 180 this morning when I called her with the news. Such a huge relief for her knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I tried over and over again right at 7am and picked the first day available. Since my mom is in the UMMS system, she already got the confirmation on her portal. WE ARE SO EXCITED.

Thank you! I've imported KMZ/KML files from GIS to Google Earth before, but have never made a Google Map for the public to view. I'll have to look into that!

LOL i was the passenger. I believe it was just a girly shriek, as I tried to frantically shoo them out of the open car window. My boyfriend at the time just laughed. i mean, I was laughing too Reminds me of the same shriek I made when Mr Map and I went on one of those drive through safaris and a giraffe stuck its tongue in the car to try and get carrots off my lap.

I'm going to call her this evening and tell her she needs to try every damn day to get registered, at 7am. Otherwise, lll do it for her and she will just have to drive to wherever I can get her an appointment.

lol they wont be that bad. they will stay in trees and other vegetated areas. but they are very loud. I do recall in 2004 when I was dating a guy who lived in Loudon County, driving down Route 7 near NOVA college and a swarm of them were on the move and flew in the car. Freaked me out.

Going to load them into GIS first and see what kind of clustering I have. Dot density probably makes the most sense, no way will I be able to label each point with a member name, but might be able to do dot density, with a key somewhere listing who falls into each area. If you have suggestions, I am all ears!
