  1. temp steadily dropping, down to 34. wont have any issues with stickage up here, just a matter if the precip gets north enough. those short range models are dry up this way
  2. like i will let you live it down. 1943 was a good year, no?
  3. temp down to 35, after a brief high of 36. hope you guys down south jackpot! yall deserve it
  4. lol this makes me laugh a lot. thank you.
  5. ha, don't you love when that happens. this made me think of something we did recently, had an HVAC company come out and install a whole house UV filter. OMG, it is amazing. We've noticed such a huge improvement in just the smell of the air in the house, less dust, etc. Highly recommend it.
  6. well if it does, then it bodes well for me too. but my bar is pretty low for this one, just something wintry.
  7. wet bulb is the temp at which you need to reach for saturation. so it being further south is good, meaning it won't take as much saturation for precip to fall.
  8. Doing alright all things considered. Hope you are doing well too! LOL
  9. lol nope. i live up to my name by making maps for a living, so when i say i'm distracted by too many maps, i mean that
  10. Thanks guys! I'm good with anything that falls even if its not the jackpot zone. enjoy whatever you may get!
  11. hows it up here? have two reports going out at work this week so a bit distracted by far too many maps
  12. That whole last drive was odd. He could have run on the second down play too, he had space. Very weird.
  13. So many missed opportunities.
  14. Hoping GB wins, I can’t stand Brady despite how good he is
  15. I’d gladly take Rogers in DC
  16. Yeah it’s really nicely detailed in how we fail lol
  17. Was this threat ever supposed to be warning level snow? I know some runs were showing a lot of precip buts it’s drying up closer to game time. 0-3 is a good forecast IMO
  18. I used to be how you are, would read the long range thread and check models a lot and I’d gets too invested in fantasy storms showing up for more than a few runs before it went poof. And it did bother me to the point where my overall mood would just be blah. But over the years I’ve dealt with a lot of things personally; deaths in my world, struggles in many other places... to name a couple things. I learned to step back and prioritize what to let bother me and in many cases, even pay attention to. One of those happened to be long range tracking. Things have also gotten incredibly busy at work the last 6 months, on top of working from home and being a teacher to a virtually learning second grader. I honestly just don’t have the time I use to have to pay attention to that stuff anymore. I check occasionally but it could go a week before I read the long range thread. While I can’t say you should or should not invest time into long range stuff, I will say if it’s impacting you mentally and emotionally that does impact other aspects of your life, like @WxWatcher007 said, that’s not good and you should take a step back and look to see what areas you need to focus on. It is only snow after all.
  19. Was laughing at how the models have shown worse and worse outcomes for both threats this week after a promising day or two I do get disappointed when it doesn't snow, but I'm good at brushing it off as whatever. There are so many other things going on our world these days that missing a snowstorm isn't high enough on my list to get legit depressed over. It's just snow. I also don't get invested beyond day 5, hell even sometimes beyond day 3. That helps with the disappointment when the rug is pulled within 100 hours.
