I was def a little anxious about it when it was in Carroll, as it was moving more northeast then east at the time, then as it was weakening you could see it becoming more linear and moving east instead. got a lot of thunder and lightning from it though.
So the lead line getting ready to hit DC is the gust front from the larger line behind it. Winds picked up so much in it they issued a severe warning for it.
we've had one flicker so far, which made my heart skip a beat. working from home and power issues make me nervous. finding myself constantly saving my work today
we bought a cheaper winter cover this year. never again. ripped in two places, along one side a good 8-10 feet, and another area right at the steps. hoping the duct tape holds today... otherwise we are opening the pool sooner than planned.
I made the mistake of having the house open Tuesday, everything near windows/backdoor slider was covered in pollen once I closed up later in the day. Good times wiping everything down.
its been awful. we've all been suffering.
Took the pup out before bed last night and I could see all the pollen floating in the backyard security light.
FWIW, the high wind watch is only for the northern part of the area, at least right now. Not to say it won't be windy down there, but may be worse for you and I then on the coast.
