yeah that brief stretch of warmer weather earlier this month did a number on my flowering trees. We have a huge weeping cherry tree in the front yard that blooms the most beautiful blossoms for only a couple days before the eventual turn to green. this year about half of the tree started to bloom and then we got cold again. the rest of the tree didn't even bother to bloom after that.
this was from last year. bloomed fully at the end of March (also a little early)
if we could get rid of the cool breeze, it wouldn't have been too bad the last few days. but man, sitting out at the baseball field for rec games for the kiddo has been chilly, both Saturday and last evening.
our new puppy is a digger, and was digging a lot around an exposed dry well cap, came up with something crunchy in his mouth. fairly sure it was a cicada, but never got a good look at it before he ate it.
drove to Pikesville only to be turned away due to the J&J issue. Thankfully the county had sent me a link over the weekend for an appointment, and it still worked. Scheduled one for this afternoon at the fairgrounds. will get pfizer instead.
The Mister and I went years and years ago during tulip season and omg they were amazing. We’ve also gone at Christmas time a couple times. Absolutely love that place and we need to get up there soon with the kiddo.
