  1. Thank you both. It's not the subject matter that is the problem, I could teach someone GIS easily if they were sitting next to me. Its my anxiety. Public speaking as never been my thing (despite my love for talking lol). I am just a completely different person when talking to large groups of people, and even though the training will be virtual, I am still mentally freaking out already. Not to mention, I have to give another presentation next month at another GIS conference... so its just a lot for me to mentally prepare myself for.
  2. You've got this friend! If it makes you feel any better, I have been tasked with running a training session on a new GIS software program, to every single GIS user in my company. So my anxiety is already through the roof and its still months away hahahaha
  3. I saw the same. It's fine, if the breeze keeps up we won't die on the fields!
  4. lol of course! Season ends at the end of July.
  5. I did, well earlier than midnight anyways. Was rumbling pretty good from about 1030 until I fell asleep around 1130. Mr. Map said before he came to bed (around midnight) there was a really close strike that shook the house. We didn't get any rain out of it, so just missed here.
  6. I believe it. We had a brief period of rain as the eastern edge came by, but the thunder was pretty loud for a storm that was half a county away
  7. Got clipped by that one, rumbled for a while as it went by. storm out west right now has been rumbling a lot too, probably will miss me too
  8. Boat day, beautiful!
  9. Found out one of my softball teammates is a guest reader here after I commented about a nearby storm. We had a good laugh and talked weather during a lightning 30 min wait before the game eventually was called. J if you’re reading, hi!
  10. Softball game ended up being called early due to the warned storm that came out of Westminster
  11. come on cells in PA, move slow, dump a lot of rain so I can rest some more tonight
  12. Last week was great as we only had one game because of the holiday. That week off between games was amazing. Def just feeling sore, tired and old. lol I'll take somewhat active today! Heading out on a boat tomorrow
  13. Could use some storms tonight, not much in the mood for softball
  14. Starting Sunday, I think. Tomorrow should be pretty awesome.
  15. He’s been busy hahaha
  16. Not yet anyways. Haven’t almost run into @Baltimorewx again, but I’ve been keeping him plenty busy with maps
  17. New girl in my office is a weather nerd too, and she asked if I was a weather weenie and I’ve never loved someone I’ve just met before like I love my new coworker
  18. I'm not sure why someone who is in Kansas, is posting here. It was funny, once... now its old. Move along.

  20. i didnt read his comment that way.
  21. Cant relate to the swimming responblity, but Mr. Map volunteered to be the ball sports commissioner for our rec league a few years back when Mini-Map started playing tee ball. Its a super stressful position. So much to do ahead of the season, at the beginning of it, during, etc. Its a tough job for no pay, on his own time, etc. This year was especially rough as they managed covid guidelines and uncooperative parents/coaches. I wish parents/coaches respected these volunteers more. They are trying to do right by your kids! Stay respectful for goodness sakes.
  22. I ilke this Heru Ra Ha guy/girl
