  1. Nice! Just started raining here, but bulk of the precip is still to my west
  2. should be on your doorstep soon. will be interesting to know if there is hail associated with it
  3. That’s great! She seems super awesome, and it’s wonderful to see her leading the way for women within meteorology!
  4. There are plenty of women who work for NWS, but not at the lead forecaster level, which you need to be in order to issue watches through SPC. Liz is training to become the first woman lead forecaster, and as such her training allowed her to actually issue a watch. Pretty awesome, she’s got a heck of a future ahead of her with SPC.
  5. It’s chilly in the breeze, but otherwise a beautiful day at Big Truck enjoying some beers
  6. Big glass ceiling moment this week in meteorology. Liz is a great follow on Twitter if you don’t already, the woman knows her weather.
  7. Wouldn’t surprise me and was one of my thoughts to Cape last night. Leaving KC for Wash is a pretty drastic move. There has to be long term promises there for him.
  8. Thanks for sharing. He definitely seems to have long term goals in DC.
  9. lol I wonder how much he is being paid, I can’t imagine he would take a paycut too
  10. Right? KC for Wash? lolol it’s crazy
  11. I’ve read Reid calls a lot of the plays and Bieniemy would always be in his shadow. I agree he should be a HC somewhere. Rivera isn’t gonna be HC much longer is my guess. He made some questionable decisions this past season, and with (hopefully) a new owner on the horizon, I could see Bieniemy patiently waiting for the HC spot to open and he can walk into. Or, he gets a chance to actually run an offense and leaves in a year or two to go HC somewhere else. ETA: I’m not complaining about the hire lol, now let’s get a franchise QB and see what he can do
  12. down to 42 after a high of 58
  13. That's great! The last game I went to was a decade ago, against Duke on a Wednesday night. The place was so LOUD. It was great. Need to butter up to my mom to let me go soon lol It was such a heartbreaking loss. I was a junior in high school. We had seats about 4 rows up off the floor, across from the benches in the corner. I vividly recall just standing, staring, jaw on the floor at what I had just witnessed in that last minute. Couldn't believe it.
  14. I used to go all the time, back at Cole and at Comcast. I was at the MD/Duke game at Cole when MD lost in the last minute, a heartbreaker. My grandmother was a huge fan, season ticket holder, etc. My mom has followed suit, she does scrapbooks for freshman players, and all throughout their time in the program. Goes to end of year dinners, team get togethers, etc. Boom Osby has even been to my mom's house lol. He's a good one.
  15. My mom was at the game last night, said the place was loud from start to finish. Reminded her of the days at Cole when we'd play Duke or UNC.
  16. mid 50s up here too. better than 35 and pouring rain
  17. lol weve gone from chasing 10 days away storms, to being thankful for 80s on long range outputs the cycle is complete. winter is over. congrats folks, we mostly died but dragged our lame asses to the finish line
  18. 66 up here. The breeze is a little blah, but the sun feels good.
  19. depends on what your definition of suck is. Suck as in a continuation of what we've had so far; no snow, warmer temps, etc. ? Suck as in it will suddenly be deep winter, snows, but doesn't stick?
