  1. Yeah as I said if parts of the Mid-Atlantic coast can get 3 feet of snow just 2 winters ago we certainly still have the potential for a big winter
  2. Sure for a few days but we'll still be above normal for the month. At least +2
  3. Yeah it depends if we're just talking about central park or not. Certainly north and west has done well in Decembers that were shutouts near the coast
  4. Well yeah getting nothing in December is pretty rare. That was our only measurable snow until the March storm
  5. Well it snowed in 98 and we were below average that winter. It barely snowed in 92 but we ended up average and of course 89-90 had early snow but well below average It probably does work out more times than not that no snow in December is bad news for a good winter. 94, 96, 97 and 99 were examples
  6. Central Park did manage 5.8" in February 77 but it could have been early and then turned mild
  7. For some reason no storm reports or public information statements from Sunday night on the nws site
  8. Around this time in 2015 people were calling for a +2 - +3 December. 2 weeks later we were calling for a +10
  9. They mentioned the storm was stronger than forecast so sounds like it caught them off guard In related news I feel like this year has had the lowest amount of wind advisories I can remember
