  1. Well I'm not suggesting it's going to trend favorably for us. It could go the other way and end up a southeast storm. But even inside 72 hours model consensus hasn't meant much the past few years
  2. Yeah when you're left with the ukie it's never a good sign. But we still have 6 days
  3. Yeah but that's what this site is for. Nobody's selling anything or putting out forecasts to the public based on what metsfan posts
  4. And you have hundreds of miles difference between the icon/euro/ukie and the cmc/gfs
  5. Ukie still decent. Actually better than decent. Warning criteria for many
  6. My guess is some places make a run at 60 again depending on arrival of clouds
  7. It's sad because all the lay people who have no idea the difference between this guy and a real forecaster will then blame all forecasters when they don't get 3 feet next week. But they'll also keep coming back for more videos promising them the worst winter weather in the history of mankind
  8. A big hit for many, it just doesn't make it up here
  9. We had snow (24.1" at central park). In fact we had it right after Christmas which was odd since it hit 70 with snow on the ground
  10. It makes sense if we get several light events and a more moderate event that favors eastern areas. Some places will do better than others through mid month
  11. Another light event Thursday perhaps something bigger for LI
  12. 1 to 2" event on the gfs. All options still on the table
  13. Too soon to know if it's going to get sheared out again
  14. Thanks for posting. Great storm. Had 17" in Montclair all in about 8 hours
  15. Sometimes they form too far to our north and east but other times they are great for us
  16. As Mt Holly reminds us: Some spots are flirting with record highs right now, but not the Delaware Valley and southern NJ stations, where records today are well into the 70s thanks to this date in 1984. For those bemoaning the warmth, just 3 weeks later on January 21 1985, temps plunged well below zero.
  17. Ewr may just barely hold on to a negative monthly departure. Erasing 2 degrees in final 4 days Precip and snowfall very average as well
