  1. No I think it was a dying ohio valley low that redeveloped off the nc coast
  2. Technically Jan 2005 was a clipper that blew up into a noreaster. Some of the heaviest snow I've had to drive through occurred during the first portion of that storm
  3. I'd gladly take a repeat of that winter even with nothing happening in February
  4. It's been 20 years since a significant early season snowstorm blanketed the area and ushered in of the metro's greatest winters with snow falling into April. A year later an even bigger storm hit the area with many places receiving 12-18" http://www.raymondcmartinjr.com/weather/2003/05-Dec-02.html http://www.raymondcmartinjr.com/weather/2004/05-Dec-03.html
  5. Really stormy. Pressure is below 1000mb like half the run
  6. Gfs continues the dual rainstorm idea for this week
  7. Looks like some heavy showers in the next hour or so
  8. I'd lean toward rainstorms near the coast for at least the next 10-14 days
  9. Best to temper expectations in early to mid December
  10. Close to half an inch already from round 1
  11. And like 00-01, 10-11 wasn't great sw of Philly. Boxing day was 50-100 miles from being a run of the mill 6" storm in NYC
  12. I think it takes a year or two. Pinatubo was 91
  13. It'll be outta here in 2 hours with a half inch
  14. End of Feb 94 had a break followed by a massive inland runner in early March
  15. Hopefully it's not still 58 a month from now
  16. Yeah this beats 30s and 40s for sure.
