  1. Nasty looking line of storms on its way past the Red River. Will be interesting to watch
  2. Been missing the rain so this morning's showers are a very welcome sight
  3. DFW in the enhanced risk area for the third Sunday in a row
  4. Warning up for rural Collin county for quarter size hail and 60 mph winds
  5. D1 enhhanced for the DFW metro with 5% tor probs.
  6. Wonder if it produced at all? That warning came and went lightening quick
  7. Crane was knocked over by the winds in Dallss and fell on an apartment
  8. Man I came to DC from DFW thinking I would avoid all of this and I ended up under my first tor warning in ages
  9. Tomorrow marks two years since the last high-risk day. Wonder if we'll break the streak in the next couple weeks or go for a record-long streak in 20?
  10. Guess we got the icy surprise after all. As for the weekend system, it seems that the moisture will clear out before temps have a chance to drop below freezing, with Monday and Tuesday being bone dry. Unless we get a spring break surprise again this winter is effectively a wrap EDIT: WWA Just extended until noon. Maybe a long day ahead of us
  11. Already at freezing here in Dallas. May be in for a surprise during the morning commute? EDIT: well its gonna be cold enough now but apparently things are drying out as well. Precip or cold: pick one
  12. I'm expecting the usual "35 and pouring outside" we've been getting this winter and last
  13. Website does the same to me on mobile
  14. Hey some of y'all are doing better than Dallas. We've seen basically nothing for almost 4 years (save for the far northern suburbs)
  15. DFW winter hasn't even been close to the hype. Glad I was up in McKinney for the covering of snow up there a couple weeks back
  16. Severe thunderstorm currently traversing the metroplex. 60mph winds and nickel size hail
  17. Sometimes late February/early March can save a season (2014-2015 comes to mind). Am beginning to seriously consider the possibility that this is a "new normal" for DFW rather than a temporary anomaly. If no snow falls this season down by the airport we'll officially be in the longest snowless streak on record EDIT: If this seasons ends up at 5th warmest then 15-16, 16-17, and this winter winter then 3 of the last 4 years will fall in the top 10. Meanwhile 09-10 is the only season from this century in the top 10 coldest, with the next most recent top ten being 83-84.
  18. Slight risk extending into DFW metro. Spring getting started early I guess
  19. Meanwhile a tornado watch has been issued until 1 PM for parts of Louisiana and Mississippi
