I’m under the red blob to the southwest of Morristown; should be fun.

What’s the gray area mean? (Slightly sarcastic). The Passaic/Pompton/Rockaway, etc. are going to cause problems.

Still humid, but a nice East wind. My squash took a beating in that TS last week. I’ll harvest what I can today, but plants are done.

Makes sense to me. I’m sandwiched between that 7.73” in Bridgewater and the multiple 6” in mt. Olive. My basement took on a few inches of water overnight, which is par for the course in very long, heavy rains. Thankful it’s unfinished and made of fieldstone from 1850.

Three smaller rivers are all flood warned, Rockaway, Pequannock and Whippany; all dump into the Passaic at Little Falls, I would think moderate flowing tomorrow.
-
River flood warnings on the Rockaway, Whippany, and Pequannock rivers so far. Rains have ended here and moved East.

No idea how much, but still raining. Wunderground precip map from Mt. Holly has me in “purple” colors. I would guess 6+ at this point.

Well over 3.5”; heavy rain continues. Just lost power.

Well over 3.5” at this point. Just lost power.

The trough is acting like a brick wall for the southern edge of the storm. It’s pretty impressive to see bands rotate in and get squeezed on that line.
-
I may be under the same band. I think it extends west toward Scranton.

Stay safe. That river has tendency to flash. I think Bound Brook may have problems tomorrow; the Raritan watershed is filling up.

Main thread has a link with active flooding on the Millstone river, that’s about 20 miles south. That river does flood regularly though. I think Bound Brook could be in trouble; but no where near as bad as Floyd.

Dead calm. Decent rains. Eyeballing 2.5” since the onset. The property has absorbed it for the most part, but I think quickly approaching saturation.

I’ll take my 1.5” qpf and be happy. It was getting dry out this way.

Curious about PRE and qpf on the west side. Typically not a qpf queen.

Not to derail Henri, but disappointing Fred’s remnant moved so far west. The garden was looking for a drink; looks like it’s time to irrigate.
-
Dry cold front down here. Was hoping for a shower. Garden is pumping down here. Zucchini/squash/pole beans. I planted tomatoes late, so I’m about a week out. Also the lantern flies are at plague level. Last year they set up shop, this year they are into the black walnut. I’m going to start using sticky traps and mount them to trees.

Dry cold front? Felt better as the day went on. Side note, lantern flies are at plague level. They are definitely hitting up my black walnut this year.

76/72. Missed the rain today, but my dad in north east Morris County reported heavy rain/winds around 4:30.
