  1. Daytime events this time of year can be harder, but generally if they start pre-dawn or right around dawn they have a far better chance than if they start later in the day. 6-7am is usually the coldest part of the day if we get the clouds and precip falling during that window it can stall the temps keeping them from rising especially if good precip rates. 2. Just hit the 1" mark imby today. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  3. Started raining IMBY according to my weather station at 4am (northern Meigs county) currently since it started I'm sitting at .72 inches for the day with rainfall rates bouncing between .12" up to as high as .29" an hour so far. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  4. Closing in on 3" now on the Roane/Meigs line in Ten Mile. The banding that hung out really brought totals up quickly. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  5. Closing in on 2" now still sitting under that band ripping fatties. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  6. I'm surprised how long the band has sat over me, the big flakes have brought my total up to an inch now and still coming down. I have family just north of Kingston who have nothing. As the crow flys they are 18 miles north of me. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  7. I am right under that band and can confirm big goose feathers falling. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  8. Northern Meigs on the Roane county line have about .5 an inch and coming down at a pretty good pace back and forth between light and moderate. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  9. I find it comical MRX with their sun angle comment yesterday afternoon, and snow accumulating on Interstate 75 in Cleveland. Jack Knifed Semi. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  10. I have a sneaking suspicion we'll see WWAs posted for at least the southern great valley if not southern and central great valley during the overnight. Peachtree City just issued for all of North Georgia including Atlanta. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  11. Crazy stuff, verbatim that puts just at or just under 13" of rain in my back yard over 10 days. Being winter there just isn't anything to drink up that water from the soil. Could make last February's flooding look trivial. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  12. I've now passed the 3" mark since midnight, sitting at 3.16" Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  13. Currently sitting at 2.48" since midnight, and .30" yesterday. Imby Northern Meigs County. Think Morristown forecast amounts are far too low for this event! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  14. About as perfect as it gets for Eastern areas in terms of track. Just inside Hatterus. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  15. I love Wyoming so many different landscapes. The winds there can be seriously incredible. I-80 is notorious in that state especially from Rawlins east to Cheyenne for tractor trailers, RVs, and campers and other trailers being blown over. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  16. Area around the Medicine Bow Mountains in Wyoming do also. I've experienced those in that area not too far from Laramie with East winds especially. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  17. 2 before Christmas is pretty impressive. This year I have seen more snow from the 2 minor events than I saw total of each year the last 4 years at least. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  18. I believe you may be correct, I had a decent burst of nice flakes earlier but have since died down to dry small flakes, think the dry air is starting to inject now at least at my location. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  19. Picked back up here with nickles. Hope we can keep that lift over the valley for a while and let the moisture keep streaming up into it. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  20. It is yes and a smidge over 2" here so not surprised by the report at Grandview. That report not me though for Grandview. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  21. Sitting right at 2" hoping that band sitting right on the edge of the plateau holds together as it slowly works east. Would love to pick up another inch. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  22. Pretty sure I'm going to end around 2" on the Meigs/Roane border before it ends. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  23. It's just pouring some of the hardest snow I've seen sadly in about 5 years, just under an inch at the moment, it it continues at this rate for a while I'll bust MRXs updated snowfall forecast in an hour. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  24. Sitting about half an inch on the Roane Meigs county line and pouring nickels. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  25. Now down to 32 and just snow in Roane County in the valley... Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
