    I guess as far as I see it it's safer to issue and express that there is still a possibility it doesn't come to fruition but issue to prepare the public. Say even 4 or 5 inches of heavy wet snow occur there are going to be power outages. You need to prepare people for the possibility. The Christmas Eve storm there were folks without power in knox county and elsewhere for 2 and 3 days. Which meant people not prepared with backup sources of heat. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    That is true, I just keep watching my dewpoint which has held relatively steady only wavering between 27 and 29 and not following the normal temperature curve. Winds have so far maintained a NE average imby also. Of course I expect a lot of that to change as we move into the event but still gives me pause as dewpoint and wind direction usually are my go to indicators for events like this where small differences can mean wet VS white.     This is going to be such an interesting event to watch play out. Currently my weather station is reporting 35.7 degrees dewpoint of 29 and radar returns about 20 miles away as the crow flies.     That appears to be heading my way at least scraping by me, I'm looking forward to that one been watching it since Nashville. What sucks for me is it will disappear from OHX radar soon and there is a hole when it comes to snow like that over Roane northen Rhea and northern Meigs that is hard to see.     Nice streamers heading east, on the door step of East Tennessee. Wouldn't mind an additional half inch or so hoping these are persistent and get better as the night goes on and the airmass and terrain of the region squeezes out every last drop of moisture. Even with snow having ended here a couple hours ago my RH is still 93%. Lots of left over moisture in the low levels. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Yeah it's let up to super fine flakes here now too. It may be the end for us of the synoptic snows. But all the hi-res models show nice snow showers covering the area tonight and most of the day tomorrow. Not standard NW flow either so folks who normally don't get much from flow snow may see some intense snow showers at times if the models are correct. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Sticking nicely here looking up the ridge behind my house. I'm noticing there are heavier bands that really pick up rates that seem to move through every 15 minutes or so like pulses. Occasionally get a good wind gust and it looks like a northern snowstorm with wind blown snow. Now down to 30. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

    Looking at current radar the western edge seems further west than had been modeled by most models to my untrained eye. I was worried I would miss the synoptic snow all together but it's just pouring snow here. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
