  1. From Dave Epstein. The cooler than average weather has kept things blooming for a much longer time this spring. Typically if we had an 80 degree day by now many of these things would be gone. I thought it was my imagination. Learn something new everyday.
  2. Boston has unofficially slipped to 37° (thus far) setting a presumptive new record low temperature for the date...the old one was 38° from 1882
  3. Wow. They must be getting sick of it.
  4. Record cold in #SNE tonight? Maybe! Boston: 38 in 1882 - forecast low 38. Providence: 36 in 1962 - forecast low 36. Hartford: 32 in 2010 - forecast low 34. Worcester: 31 in 1928 - forecast low 32
  5. Your expectations have been lowered.
  6. Enough we're good. http://www.mwra.state.ma.us/monthly/watersupplystatus.htm
  7. Unfortunately it's not looking particularly dry.
  8. It certainly is. Looks like we'll leave the 30s in the rearview mirror.
  9. I noticed that I thought the Wiz wrote it.
  10. Heading for Holliston. Might just miss me to the South.
  11. Just came through here sure as hell feels colder than 40.
  12. 36 degrees with a few flakes here and there.
  13. To be fair, it's not the below zero / mid-winter temps everyone on here has been calling for. Feels pretty good under my high waisted shorts on my early morning power stride.

  15. Wild apples starting to bloom. The birds were chowing. Never knew birds ate blossoms??
  16. Pretty much a late spring torch pattern except for the snow Wednesday night, Friday, and Saturday. . A coastal storm tracking southeast of New England will bring a period of rain Wednesday night which may mix with snow at times. Scattered showers linger on Thursday, then another storm brings more rain Friday night which may change to snow over the higher elevations. Blustery and unseasonably cold conditions follow on Saturday with scattered rain and higher elevation snow showers. Dry weather with moderating temperatures Sunday then more showers possible next Monday
  17. Right? when will this cold snap end! after record setting cold in April I was hoping for a break in May but nope, more snow in the forecast. Some on here were calling for the last snow back in February ...lolz! "Late afternoon temperatures across the region were about as cold as you can be this time of year. If you go all the way back to when records started, you will find that there were only a handful of days this chilly where the temperature never got to 45 degrees. Today’s high of 42 degrees in Boston is the lowest high on this date since way back in the late 1800s. We don’t see many cold temperature records anymore either." " Think it's been a cold April? You're right! This month will go down as having the "coldest" max high temperature for April in Boston, Hartford, and Worcester (and 2nd for Providence!) "
  18. Getting there around here at least with the maples.
  19. Many folks out reloading before the snow ;)
  20. I'm guessing some will touch 80. It would be nice if we do before the snow.
  21. Awesome! Pics? I don't care if they're fuzzy.
  22. PSIS... A beautiful and mild weekend is in store for the region except for a brief period of showers late tonight into early Sunday morning. A few more showers are possible Sunday night. The rest of the week is expected to feature mostly dry weather with temperatures running a bit below normal. About freaking time.
  23. What I wouldn't do for a drought about now.
