  1. I mean, it might not be flooding rains, but I don't see how it isn't a soaking rainfall.
  2. Takes longer to get here but it’s still only about four hours of rain in any one location.
  3. 3K NAM has been overdoing it lately, but looking at latest run, looks like it comes in pretty early tomorrow and is out of here in the afternoon. It moves through slowly, but not slow enough for training, and the line is pretty narrow, so its only about 4 hours of heavy rain in any one location.
  4. I thought the heavy rain/flooding threat was for midweek and not this weekend?
  5. 3K NAM had looked pretty impressive for tomorrow morning and then the latest run barely brings in any rain.
  6. 3K NAM keeps getting worse and worse with each run. Keeps pushing those afternoon storms farther south. Latest run now has them blowing up in Southeast VA.
  7. 3K Nam looks active overnight. Might not be severe but has a lot of storms and heavy rain rolling in through tomorrow morning. Also has that same convection the HRRR does for Friday afternoon, but I think that's going to be a Southern MD to Eastern Shore/Virginia type deal. Almost all of us look to be too far north and west.
  8. It's breezy. Kinda hilarious this warranted a slight risk and a Severe T-Storm Watch.
  9. That storm is rolling. Already passed by to the north. Surprised someone said there is a lot of CG. I don't see anything on RadarScope. Thunder has also calmed down some.
  10. That's the distant thunder I'm hearing here. Has definitely picked up in frequency over the past five minutes. It's going to miss me just to the north.
  11. Distant thunder here I believe but can be hard to tell with air traffic sometimes.
  12. A little sun poking out around here now. 3K is pretty scattered but we will see what happens.
  13. Hard to say "it's a shame about snow near the cities in mid-April, but it is a really nice band setting up in Hoco that would have really come down fast and furious for a short time. I'm still in the upper 40's though, so quite far from any snow here.
  14. Ahh got you. Had hopes when I saw your comment then went to check the models and it was more of the same from this winter.
  15. I must be missing something because I'm not seeing any snow on HRRR.
  16. Weird. I'm pretty close to BWI and that was...….uneventful. It was breezy and rained hard for a minute or two. Had a couple rumbles.
  17. Looks like this thing is donzo, especially if that final line near Winchester is just standard stuff like a poster above alluded to. Given some of the parameters we saw leading up to this storm, it looked like some of the official forecasts were way underdone. Maybe they knew something we didn't looking at those models and parameters, cause it busted in about every single way possible. Shocking there won't even be any synoptic wind.
  18. So much for the forecasts wrapping this stuff up by 19z.
  19. I thought the wind wasn't coming until after the storms cleared out?
  20. Latest HRRR looks awful but it doesn't match current radar at all, so it's probably worthless.
  21. Those hoping for severe weather won't want to look at latest HRRR or 3k NAM. Very isolated stuff.
  22. Latest HRRR is pretty meh. Some scattered storms.
  23. 0z 3k NAM has a line of severe storms roll through in the 3-5 AM time period and then nothing but a few isolated cells after that for Central MD.
  24. Not unpopular to me. I don't want tornadoes. Who the hell wants a tornado damaging their property, or even worse, a potentially high-end tornado killing people?
