  1. No doubt. Radar is lit. Most everyone should get something today.
  2. I saw it, too. Glad we got some decent rain out of this.
  3. NAM says late tonight and later tomorrow is quite active.
  4. Watch DCA break the 90+ streak with a second streak from now through early/mid August.
  5. DC south might get storms, but not seeing the Baltimore threat today.
  6. DCA is ridiculous when it comes to snowfall, but BWI has had its share of problems measuring it, as well. I agree on the new area that's paved near the temperature station.
  7. NAM still sticks with all activity east of the bay. Euro was a nice bump west, but looks like it won't be enough. We are running really short on time.
  8. I went running late Tuesday afternoon and my shirt looked like I had jumped in a pool just 20 minutes in. Last night was hot, but not nearly as humid and more do-able.
  9. Looks like it's over for us. These tropical systems that develop by the Outer Banks are almost always too far east to impact us. OC usually gets it pretty good or a glancing blow. NAM keeps us interested, but the GFS is too far east and Euro is definitely east. Those two both being too far east means the NAM is likely just being the NAM, especially with how it has jumped around the past few runs.
  10. Man, just need another 50-100 mile bump west. That said, I will trade a fringe here for a direct hit in winter (provided we don't have the crappy temps we had last year).
  11. Disappointing here given how crazy the radar looked, but I guess there had to be some losers. Some people really cashed in. Seemed like parts of Anne Arundel and especially PG got hammered.
  12. Yeah still raining here now but lightening up and wind has stopped. Also getting a lot brighter out.
  13. Getting some good gusts here right now with some downpours. Just getting barely clipped by this cell after just being missed by a couple earlier.
  14. Looks like some kind of little outflow boundary just raced went of Columbia.
  15. Looks like an "east of 295" threat so far. Can hear thunder rumbling in the distance. Will be interesting to see how this evolves. Pretty big storms blowing up to the southeast and northeast.
  16. Latest HRRR looks a lot more interesting for 95 to the bay tonight.
  17. Philly complex of storms looks to finally be weakening a bit and pushing slightly south.
  18. Painful watching that huge blob just sit and explode over Philly. Wonder if some localized areas make a run at double-digit rainfall total up there.
  19. Wow, that Philly area and especially just northeast of there is going to/getting crushed.
  20. I feel like squall lines were also more frequent in the 90s as well. Nice day yesterday for the Moco to Laurel crew. That was a nice storm.
  21. Thought there might have been a very tiny bit of rotation on the Catonsville storm. The lightning that is striking way outside of the storms is incredible right now. The storm in Baltimore just had a lightning strike around Laurel. I wanted to try to go running but got chased back inside by lightning. Lightning so far away from the storm is making it impossible to go out right now because you don't know when you are safe.
  22. And just like that, some popping around the metro area.
  23. I didn't end up really cashing in like I thought I would yesterday but I still got something. Crazy you missed it completely.
