  1. I'm sure it will work out I will be today years old when we get snow out of an anafront.
  2. Yes it would. I remember we had some snow back in 2008 maybe? A little snow on Christmas morning that was enough to give us around an inch.
  3. That always works out well for us! LOL.
  4. I noticed where I was in Ellicott City didn't make a huge difference yesterday. Elkridge got basically the same amount of snow and my changeover each time was basically just minutes ahead of Columbia. My elevation is about 450 feet, but at least with this storm, it seemed like it didn't matter.
  5. What I wouldn't do for some snow on Christmas, especially a major storm. And this year would be the perfect year to be snowed in on Christmas.
  6. I wonder if that's a timing issue for these maps. Everything I've seen shows a cold front coming through with possibly some precipitation, and then it getting very cold behind the front.
  7. Man, that could have been us. Crazy how far north that ended up though. Nowhere even remotely close to where it was modeled for days and days. I must have missed most of that last band. I had mostly sleet on the cleared surfaces with maybe a dusting of snow on top of that. The Euro and the NAM were awful with low placement, but the thermals were pretty good. They had the 850s getting too warm well into PA and that was accurate. If anything, they still underdid that. The HRRR did a terrible job timing the changeover (it was way earlier than it said), but did a better job showing the backside stuff as sleet and not snow and hardly accumulating for my area. Euro definitely gave me way too much with that.
  8. Still sleet here. Maybe a few flakes mixed in? Hard to tell.
  9. Radar is definitely exploding but it looks like it's all advancing northeast rather quickly and the changeover line is lagging behind.
  10. Euro's low location was awful but it flooded the midlevels with warmth up into PA and did a good job nailing that.
  11. Always is. It's pathetic how bad the numbers are. Need to change the location of the official report or find some people that know what they are doing.
  12. That's the one, Marv! That's the silver tuna.
  13. Is there a reason why this didn't close or it took so long to close off?
  14. This looks nothing like the tropical tidbits map, which is far more conservative. Maybe pivotal weather's map is counting sleet as snow. It looks like mostly sleet for anyone east of, say, Mt. Airy.
  15. Ha, 4+ more inches here? I'll take the under.
  16. Too late. Damage is done. I have no idea how a storm that far south and east with a decent high to the north would flood us with warm air like this.
  17. Been raining here for about the past hour. Temps up by four degrees. That will do it.
  18. Mixed in flakes was short-lived. Back to sleet. Guessing it was just a heavier batch of precip helped get some flakes to fall.
  19. Nah. Looks to me like a front goes through on the 24th or very early on the 25th and it's just very cold, windy and dry. Still a ways off.
  20. Heaviest sleet of the day but some big flakes are mixing in. Hmmmm. Could it be?
  21. Yeah, I was on the other side of Route 1 though.
  22. Christmas Day, if nothing else, looks quite cold at the moment.
