Flurries have returned. Radar doesn't look at that promising for up this way, though. Looks like the heaviest echoes down in VA are pushing more east. Give the HRRR a lot of credit. It really nailed today.
Doesn't look like it really does. Latest HRRR run seems to have it fade out and then a new batch develops just north of there closer to and over DC right around Route 50 and then that eventually fizzles as well. It looks like we are most likely done up this way. DC and south though looks like they could see some nice action.
I'm actually getting some accumulation in some colder spots on the deck, mulch, etc. Really would love to see that stuff down in Dale City area continue to blossom and rotate up this way. Could actually get something out of this.
Ji is the best.
It's fine until there is a real storm, people tune him out because of the constant hype, and then it does cause issues. People lose trust in forecasters when they are constantly wrong, and then they get ignored.
The problem isn't most of us on this board who know how he can be and also have some decent weather knowledge. He "woofs" over clouds in the sky, so I don't buy into it. The problem is his legions of followers who are oblivious when it comes to weather and read that stuff and eat it up. It's irresponsible.
