    The long range thread is getting rough to follow. In a span of 5 minutes during the 12z models we went from Shades of 96 to shred city according to the PBP.

    @Bubbler86 How you feeling about Monday? I like sitting 50 Miles north of the bullseye 4.5 days out. No guarantee but we always get burned by the last minute north trend when we are on the southern edge. Maybe this time it'll be beneficial.

    I'm on the M/D and I'm good with this run. So many damn times confluence has weekened as we close in on game time that we get missed to the north. Don't want it to drop further south but having a little wiggle room isn't bad. Still 6 days out.

    If it doesn't end up a strung out POS chances are it does creep north. We've been burned so many times with the last 72 hour north creep. But it can't be strung out.

    Thanks for your valuable input. It's hard to not be 3/4 glass empty when looking at snow chances. Maybe my memory is fading but growing up in the 80s and 90s in Northern Fredeick County it seemed a normal occurrence was a 3-6 " snow followed by a mix then rain then dry slot. It seemed to happen several times a season. Now we're just begging for any kind of scrapes we can get. Getting 2" is such a big deal now and seems that the stars need to align perfectly for that to happen.

    It's nice seeing below normal 850s and 2m temps with above normal precip on the GEFS as we get into January. That's been a rarity in these parts.

    I can invision a scenario like yesterday happening in January but we get a region wide 3 - 5 " snow out of it with Cold air entrenched. Snow to mix to dry slot.
