  1. 4.68" final. This is a small neighborhood on the immediate western slopes of the Greens in Manchester. This WAS the road out..
  2. Never seen it flood so bad in downtown Manchester, water just pouring from every direction into the shopping district into businesses--torrents. There isn't really a main river near downtown, so it takes a ton of water to flood it. Took a quick trip and the guy I talked to said I missed the worst of the flash flooding too by about 10 mins. The backyard river is raging, almost shaking the ground. So much for the .40" modeled. Ha
  3. Yea, and not just a small thunderstorm just sitting in one spot. Some decent aerial coverage.
  4. 4.11". Blowing away my highest total I've had since moving to VT. Got to be some decent flooding in the valley.
  5. Over 3" now, so only about 100 times your totals
  6. 1.61" with a steady 2" per hour rate. Was expecting maybe .4-.5" and someone might squeeze out 4" around here
  7. Blasphemy! Honestly, that majority of people feel the same way. My first house in PA was like 80% crabgrass and weeds during mid summer so it was always green even during hot dry spells. My family would always come over and say "Wow, you lawn looks great- so nice and green!" Lol.
  8. VIS just a smidge better than a few days ago.. that ridge is only about 1/4 mile away.
  9. That is some pretty good seed, you will be happy with that. Just make sure you don't let the seeds dry out once you start watering.
  10. 51.2F glorious degrees last night. Felt like an arctic front yesterday evening when it was 61/59F with a breeze.
  11. Kevin (prob others too) has had more rain in 18 days than some N VT cocorahs stations have had total precip since 1/1/21 Almost a full 7 months worth..ha. I've only had a piddly 6" in July.
  12. Yea, your right. Looks like I had 7 or 8 days of lows in 40s in June. Been pretty muggy since about the 25th. Those June nights feel like ages ago.
  13. Hope this holds for next weekend. Dews in 40s or even low 50s seem unattainable this summer. Anything below 60F will be nice.
  14. Damn, that is a serious invasion Lava. None in the bed, did they put fabric down?
  15. We sun..for now. DP up to 69F, feels great even with high dews creeping in.
  16. The rare "congrats DDH". 1-1.5" strip there already. Only .16" just to the north here.
  17. It's defintley been questioned... https://www.wunderground.com/blog/weatherhistorian/an-investigation-of-death-valleys-134f-world-temperature-record.html
  18. Dews should be spot on with the desert scape backdrop.
  19. Heavy July gardens..nice not having to worry about watering.... Sneaking in a top 10er today before the rain and dews return.
  20. Lol, yea if only you could bank up that extra water as a reserve in the soil. Honestly 1.5" or 7" in a week will make no difference for the lawn in a week if its 85-90 and sunny, it will start browning probably within 7-8 days again. 7" is good for lakes and streams and Oak trees, but lawns don't need that much. Looks humid and stormy though next week.
  21. Oh, for sure it's great for summer tourist season and really for locals too being able to get out and do the mountain summer stuff. Last summer was dry and hot up to this point, so the swimming at the local water holes was great. Haven't done a ton of that this year though. It's been an absolute zoo down here even with the crappy string of weather-I'm sure it's like that in all the touristy areas of New England, people are just itching to get out and explore after the past year and half.
  22. What's funny about that map is the max is 10.82". There a couple NVT cocorahs stations that had 12" total from 1/1/21 until today. That is Stein.
