  1. Had to know. Like rubbernecking on the highway. Have to look. Now i have something to else to stand outside and yell at along with clouds on SVR days
  2. Back in my day we had no ac so not only did we have to go to school but we also had to shovel coal into the boilers they ran to cook lunches and make hot water for the insane asylum next door.
  3. I hate this thread. It is a great thread and lots of information. Confirms my suspicions on trends for marginal events. Its not just always my elevation thats to blame. Temps really have affected things. But I hate this thread. I knew what it would be before reading and this was my first thought
  4. 59 both at home and here on the slower lower
  5. What a nice cool morning
  6. Payback for summer with no summer. Late season heat waves suck.
  7. Not liking the heat next week
  8. Could be. Question is if so will it reform in time before landfall and does that increase wind? Or does it try to cycle and hit too much land and dry air which weakens it?
  9. Waking up to see it got to Cat 4 is whoa. Yeah the potential was there but you never assume. Just shows that the record gulf water temps are like nitrous to a car engine
  10. We are. Doing you a solid to get you out of the Weather Channel Mike Seidel cone
  11. nice to remain blissfully unaware. lol
  12. Glad to hear they have a safer place to go to. Hope things aren't bad after it passes
  13. Had around .5” from a few downpours last night
  14. Nice sub 60° morning. As much as I’ve loved the death heat shield we’ve benefited from, it’s also gonna keep any tropical away from us that might help with our drought. NW flow won’t help with that
  15. Low of 57. It feels amazing for Aug
  16. Just some light to moderate showers so far. Worst of it split to my W and E. All good. Not sure I need flooding rains.
  17. I was yelling something for sure. But not at the clouds. Wasn’t G rated either
  18. That was probably almost as bad as the derecho wind wise. Legit 50-60 winds at times with higher gusts. Lost power briefly but back on now. Went from severe warning to TOR to flood in 20 min. Also had to help two gas line contractors who got stuck in the storm because it hit fast and their car wasn’t close by. They were under a damn tree of all things. So got them under my my porch and out of the rain and wind
  19. Glad things are back on. Nothing better than flushing a toilet again
