  1. Fall/winter was the worst. We had to use seashells after all the leaves fell
  2. That’s was in the 1920s. Pa told me in April 1930 I fell off the family wagon going to town for ma’s corn meal and castor oil. Fell down a ravine and hit my head on a Boulder. Put me in a coma. They only found me after old man Linus saw me while out foraging for salmonberries
  3. Should send me off to the glue factory
  4. I have a hard time remembering the 1930s. Hi @mappy!
  5. I’m nearing Betty White territory
  6. I can give you advice on this. Stop posting. Or just act like an adult instead of a petulant baby losing your shit over something you can’t control
  7. That had the coldest temp I ever remember as a daytime high. Was single digits. I had to thaw frozen water meters all that week. You ever fish out a wrench from the bottom of a water meter filled with water in sub 32° temps? Imagine almost burning off your face and eyebrows when you get a flare up of natural gas when you use a propane torch to thaw a frozen meter for a homeowner so desperate for water they give you cash. Had to refuse or get fired.
  8. Yes. Was living at my moms and all day long the weather said temps would get above 32 and it never did and it sleeted all day. inches of cement
  9. MLK storm. That was epic. It started the most memorable week of work for me. The whole week was bitter cold. I worked outside from 6am-11pm for 6 days.
  10. I’m eyeing that chobani. If there’s key lime I’m all over it.
  11. Flood watches? For DC proper of course. Not out y’all’s way. White out up there
  12. I just looked at that. I'm still good for a while. And by while I mean still too close but not imminent
  13. Dude. Next year's milestone for me will be the worst. Like it's law from that age forward to have pants up to the armpits and wear these during summer
  14. Nudge a 2" contour south of DC and this chance would give me 75% of what I got all last winter.
  15. Well that doesn't happen near DC. I can tell you 100% that front end thumps are busts. If we get anything on the front its a few min of wintry then lull or right to melted. Some places just to my NW might do better but I-95/Beltway east gets whored many times.
  16. Its the standard fall line coastal storm. Higher elevs will do better because 850s to 925 will torch east of I-95. Influence of HP to the north still yet to be set
  17. please call him fred. he forgot the E when he made his account
  18. Chilly morning down to 27.1 before leaving for work. Heavy frost too
