I wish I could get excited and say we have a shot for a couple more inches. Then i look at radar and go ehhhhhhhhh. I'm a jaded man right now. This storm was like speed dating with all the model snow maps. And I bought them lots of drinks and it seemed like I was going home with lots of digits. And then at closing time ALL of them went with all the dudes from the Jersey Shore.

That radar is pretty bad. All the “snow” over me is sleet and zr when it lulls

Cool radar loop. You can see a little meso vortex spin over LoCo and that messes with precip for us here in Va

I’ll say this much, what failed as far as snow was made up for in ice. It’s icy on some side streets and walks.

As much as everyone loves radar and it filling in you can see that it’s not filling in SE of DC. The pivot of the precip shows it’s not in a good spot

Just went out to clean cars. Everything is ice. Whatever snow I got is crusted in at least a 1/4” ice. Sidewalks are coated in an unbreakable layer

Y’all remember that epic Euro snow map from last week? The one with 30” for me? I got 2” of that. I lost 90% of what most every snow map gave me. If I hear, read, see, smell, taste the words “tucked” “Miller B” “hail Canada” “dubstep is good” I’m going to C punt you into 1913

No clue what I have. Snow shut off after getting 2” and what fell after was mostly ice and sleet. If I have 2.5” I’ll be surprised Not expecting any more

Went out of my way to avoid this place yesterday and looks like it was a good call. JFC. Yes this was a pretty bad bust given the modeling most of last week. 2” when I was hoping for only 4” as minimum stinks. But it snowed. I saw snow falling most of the day. It made things look nice and I got more snow yesterday than the last two winters COMBINED. So it was all about enjoying what fell. That’s what I did. Didn’t care about the newest NAM or GEM or whatever. Sure I’m disappointed. Wanted more. Said all week that we needed X to happen and not Y like so many wanted. Well we got Y. And that always spells doom for not only my area but a lot of others. But gonna just get on with things because in the end it’s weather and I have as much control over that as I do a cat on cocaine. Still rooting for the people I like to get as much snow out of this as they can. That’s where I’ll get my joy.
