    Had that issue quite a bit both winter and summer when we had the old wood ones. Single pane and just totally inefficient. Replacing them with double pane and better quality made a huge difference.

    Afternoons can still get noisy but I find that its more focused to individual trees. When they flock to a tree thats when it gets almost ear shattering.

    What’s this a/c crap? Now see here, according to some of y’all I’m so old that back in the day the only cool air we could get was the in ground cellar where we kept the big chunks of ice. Didn’t help all my clothes were made of wool. We didn’t have no fancy cotton or Polly Ester brand duds
