Aug is the lazy month for my kids. Swim being done just means we can go vacation and visit relatives again. One kid wants to do cross country and they have started training so her mornings will have practices. But now I can hang out at the pool when it opens and actually get in the water as opposed to staring at it for hours during a meet

Oh I don’t mind not mowing and the brown grass. I’ve been raising the blade every year and have my mower up higher than I usually do. They said letting grass brown up makes it stronger cause the roots go deeper. I’ll mow only when needed when my weeds get too tall compared to the grass that went dormant lol
