  1. To be a weenie for a sec, the short range models have sucked for sim the last few days. Haven’t modeled things well IMO
  2. First night since Saturday that the heaviest rains missed me. Only .08”
  3. My crabgrass is on point right now. Thick and luscious
  4. Reading here makes me thing the boot is just for a seal around the pipe to prevent ground water from coming in. It’s dripping now because of all the rain and the pressure that is putting on the water table in the ground. That boot might need to be replaced and sealed better. The water is clear because of the ground. It’s filtered at that point. It’s also not flowing fast enough to agitate the soil and get turbid
  5. Ok. That coupling might be it after all. If they used PVC or black poly then back over to copper then that transition point might be it. Hope it’s an easy fix.
  6. Another long night. Was up from 1-3 monitoring the rain that fell. Thankfully no flooding but water quickly piled up in some places. .6” Ive gotten 6.70” for the month with more than 4” in 3 days
  7. Saw your tweet to me but figured I’d reply here. Was the water coming into the house where the main service line comes into the house? It might not be the line itself leaking but due to the heavy rain it’s actually hydrostatic pressure FROM the rain. As in there was so much rain that it worked it’s way to your service line depth and because the line itself created a tunnel when installed the water followed it and flowed into your house. Path of least resistance. only other explanation would be the line IS leaking but that would be from WSSC jacking up the pressure of the water system higher than normal. Not sure if any of those recent big main breaks are near you and that’s what caused it. The way to know if that’s the cause is turning on a faucet and the water coming out is a lot stronger and not normal. Hope this helps
  8. That said, I picked up a fast .5” rain
  9. It didn’t come down as bad as it looked like it would. But it won’t take much given what fell the other day.
